Best hand spreader on the market by far, professional grade quality. I'm a professional contractor and I usually don't write reviews, but I had to give Solo a 5 star on this one. All the options you need to make a mundane job comfortable & quick, with the exception of someone else doing it for you. I wish I had this 10 years ago.Super product

Smooth operation. Ability to make fine adjustments needed for seed diameter and arc of broadcast. Holds enough seed or fertilizer for a one acre food plot (which I walked). Comfortable straps. Used several times this year. I'm pleased with the Solo spreader.I bought a Scotts brand green plastic job. Plastic gears ceased up and hands got cramped. It (scott spreader) ended up in the trash.Recommend

Why did you pick this product vs others?:The ease of use was no strain on my back. Once the control was identified, walking and adjusting was a no-brainer for no-brainers. Strategy to broadcast contents is important for success. Distribution requires a bit of thought at corners, angles & small spaces, but the genious is the convenience! No clogging. Cleanup is a breeze. Appears well made to avoid undue physical discomfort. Neatly stores away. Easy fill but do not try to overfill. Not as cumbersome as one may assume, at first glance. User friendly to accomplish medium to larger tasks. Bulkiness supports balance and ease of use, but makes it a challenge to judge how far one should go (before a refill), esp. when contents are low.A bit overpriced, which takes away a Star or two.

Worth every penny for my yard! I'm on a hill side and with a normal earthway push spreader I notice on that side it spreads uneven. With my push spreader I've felt as if I'm chasing the spreader and it has control and not me. My yard requires sharp turns and I have many obstacles to avoid. Stopping the spreader to adjust and lower the crank to continue becomes ridiculous.With this spreader I have complete control because the speed of the spreader does NOT dictate the amount being spread do to the speed. I can literally slow down my speed as I see fit if I notice that I wasn't satisfied with the amount of product being spread. Sometimes I stand still for 2 seconds to give an area a bit more love that needs it. With a push spreader you cannot do that. For me this was exactly what I needed. Also your suppose to strap it going from one shoulder to the opposite waist line. I've seen to many people reviewing it wearing it around their neck

I bought this 5 years ago to replace an expensive wheeled broadcast spreader (that I sold used for double what this spreader cost new). The wheeled spreader had to be moving to be broadcasting, which did not suit my so-called technique. With the Solo, I can stand in one place and turn the crank and spray seed or fertilizer into the nooks and crannies of my yard. As a bonus, when a person I loaned the spreader to broke the deflector shield today, I was able to order a replacement from Solo for less than two dollars. Very glad I found this item.

I’ve tried so many different bag spreaders that seem to always let me down. This spreader has worked flawlessly everytime I’ve used it. I do a lot of remote food plots and having your spreader take a crap on you when you’re a mile in on foot sucks. I know I can count on this to not let down when I need it.
