Very useful!
A really handy piece of kit. Very surprisingly what you can move around and lift with this! Especially from a wood pile, stuff covered in briars or rolling a trunk.

Good tool
Great tool, very light compared to others but it certainly does stick in the wood with minimal effort.

This thing is such good quality. I've used a cheap pickaroon with a wooden handle from one of the big box stores for years, but the handle broke recently. I planned to just put a new handle on the pickaroon that I had, but then I saw this Fiskars "hookaroon." I have several others Fiskars products, so I decided to give it a go. I'm glad I did. The length is just right for me (I'm 5'10"). The value is excellent for what you pay for it. I've used it for a couple of hours so far, and it's remained sharp. Really grabs the wood. I heat my home with wood, so I move a lot of logs and rounds. Pickaroons/Hookaroons really save your back and make moving logs so much easier. No matter how old you are (I'm still young but I wouldn't move logs without one), you'll be thankful that you have one of these. Fiskars is a trusted brand. You can't go wrong.

This tool will definitely save your back! I have a log splitter, and was always picking up logs to heave them onto the splitter. After a couple hours of lifting, the back was DONE. Saw a YouTube video of a guy using their own hookaroon and how easy it was to lift logs onto their splitter. It's amazing how this tool is so simple, yet grabs on and holds 50 lb (22kg) bucked logs or rounds with ease. Basically it's just a pointy axe that you whack into the end of the log, pick it up WITHOUT BENDING OVER, drop it on the splitter and then push the handle back to release. Very lightweight and strong, with a hollow plastic handle. (I have smacked the handle pretty hard several times, no signs of cracking or breaking or wear) Now my back is fine, and my arms get tired first. Definitely recommended for anyone who splits wood or has to pick up logs.

Great for older people in rural areas. It saves your back, and your eyes if your dragging fallen branches out of shrubs that have grown around them. Great in Australia with deadly spiders as you don't have the grab with your hands. So impressed I bought my old dad one for his property. Probably not worth while if you only chop some would for a BBQ say now and then. Great on 5+ acres.
