Hagen Tropican Lifetime Formula Parrot Food, 4 lb Parrot Food with Peanuts & Sunflower Seeds and Balance Nutrition Levels

This product was referred to me by a bird rescue because it is full of nutrition and has little to no waste. My birds love it! It smells like bubble gum when you open the package. How could they not love it?

It wasn't hard to get my cockatiels to eat this food. This is not the only kind of pellet food I give them. I also give them the Kaytee pellets for the sake of variety and in case one is nutritionally better than the other. The Kaytee pellets smell nicer and are colourful. My birds go through phases where they like one brand more than the other but in general they like this one more. It smells interesting - not bad at all. To me it smells like kiddies toothpaste, but I've seen others describe it differently. What I like about this product compared to Kaytee is that it doesn't stain their droppings and it ends up being less messy - the others end up all over the place. My vacuum cleaner ends up full of Kaytee pellets

A couple years ago, my parrotlet was having a lot of digestive issues and I had to take him to his vet more often than I would have liked. I had him on a seed and pellet diet during that time, along with fresh fruits and veggies. Nothing out of the ordinary. But he kept getting sick. I talked with my vet about it, and decided it was best to give him just mushy pellets for a while to let my parrotlet have something easier to digest. I was disappointed to see that most pellets I found in pet stores had tons of added food coloring, which was making my parrotlet regurgitate more than normal and turn his poops weird colors. So I went on a search for something without tons of added colors and unnatural ingredients and I found this Hari Tropican Lifetime formula. My parrotlet loved it! So I kept him on this pellet diet for a couple months, and I have been giving it to him ever since with no digestive issues or sickness since. I give him a mix of the Hari Tropican Formula along with Harrison’s High Potency fine bird food, and my parrotlet has been in great health with no abnormal trips to the vet. I will update if there are any changes, but I don’t see that coming anytime soon. I’m about to buy the third bag of this for my birds! Both my parrotlets love it.

The person that I bought my Sun Conure swears by this food, and I see why now very little waste the bird loves it. I do also feed a fresh bird salad (mixed greens, peppers, carrots, peas corn, rice and such) but this is very balanced food.

Reviews matter, trust me. If this food can pretty much get any stubborn Quaker off seeds like mine then why not give it a try after reading the helpful reviews, I tried everything.This food has a unique smell to it. Like berries. Small not large. It has a lot of nutrients for your feathered friends which I'd great because a lot of birds tend to be stubborn and not eat after you take them off of seeds, they become lethargic and weak. This food helps boost your bird back to health. Make sure you change your birds water a few times a day and make sure you are keeping track of how much they are drinking also. At the same time I was using 2 other foods (zupreems Natural and fruit blend) with this food to help her transition. But I stayed with all three and she is completely off of seedswith this food. Helpful hint. I use more tropican and Natural and a quarter of fruit blend in her dispenser. I hope this helps you guys.

Not sure any translation nor reading comprehension; received pellets that smelled like old daiquiris. No drama, just fully disappointed. Label online said: Sunflower seeds & peanut. That is what I ordered. Rec'd fruity & in another language (the language is FINE, the FOOD is my priority). Have never been irritated nor annoyed enough to put a bad review out. This one I'm doing. My bird doesn't do fruity. That's why I basically investigate every new food. This online choice was bad in our home. Dang, I have a boughie bird & I'm mad for her. Peace.
