Fitvids Olympic Cast Iron Plate for Strength Training and Weightlifting, Pairs, Sets or Set with Barbell, Multiple Sizes

I purchased these weight plates as I returned to structured strength training and currently use them with a SportKraft Olympic barbell and a Titan T-2 rack equipped with a landmine attachment. They integrate well with my existing equipment and perform as expected for general strength training. From a functional standpoint, these are straightforward, no-frills plates with consistent fit on the barbell sleeve. The cutout design is a standout feature and significantly improves handling compared to solid plates without grip openings. Because of this, I often reach for these plates first when loading or unloading the bar, as they are noticeably easier and safer to maneuver. The cutouts also make the plates practical for exercises performed without a barbell. They provide a secure grip for movements such as plate carries, front raises, and other accessory work where handling comfort and control matter. I train on padded flooring, so I have not tested these plates by dropping them on concrete or other hard surfaces. That said, they feel solid and well-constructed, and I have not noticed any signs of cracking or weakness during regular use. Overall, these plates have performed reliably and represent excellent value for the price. They are a practical choice for home gym setups, especially for novice lifters who appreciate the added convenience and versatility of grip cutouts.

These plates are heavy like they should be Watched the delivery driver struggle bringing them in. That said, the packaging is really cheap. Boxes were ripping apart and a couple plates arrived scratched. Plates themselves are solid, but the packaging doesn’t hold up to the weight at all.

Just got these weights today. These are the cast iron and serve their purpose. There are very few minor imperfections in the coating if you are a perfectionist about that sort of thing but functionally they are great. They came a couple of days early. If you’re on a budget like me then these are a great option.

These have been great for the cost. I have a dozen in assorted sizes now, and none have any blemishes or imperfections with the rubber coating. I wash them with dish soap and have to let them off-gas a little bit when I get them (arrive oily and they stink). I’ve used them for farmer carries and setting them down on rough surfaces doesn’t chew up the rubber too bad, pretty durable and very comfortable.

Cast iron plates. What can I say. You bag them and they will show the marks. Fits perfectly on my RitFit barbell.

Great cast iron weights, I’ll definitely be buying more, not covered with grease or oil, easy fit on my bar. Good grip if you want to work the tris out or use just your hands.

Pro: Great rubber coated plates. Con: Smaller diameter than standard bumper plates. This only matters (for me) for deadlifts. Even then it’s not a problem since I can add these to the ends of the collars after my standard plates are in place

Wash with Dawn dish soap and hot water. Set in the FL sun for two days... smell goes away.. Nice plates, have the whole set...

Good change plates. Cosmetically they aren’t perfect allot of defects but they work well and the grips make for super easy handling.

Got them on offer at £47.50 and they’re perfect. Cheaper than buying second hand and the handles make them great for a load of differing exercises
