We have used hansgrohe in most of our homes and rental units, and have always considered it a superior product. This faucet is going into our summer home and, unfortunately, I will not get to install it until then.But an examination of the unit finds the same strong materials and superb workmanship of most hansgrohe products that we have used in the past. We have replaced faucets and valves and cartridges of almost every brand out there, including others that we respect such as Delta, Kohler, etc., but we have never replaced a Grohe or hansgrohe for any reason other than a change of decor.After we ordered this we saw a review that said the spray was not magnetized. Oh oh; like that reviewer, the magnetic attraction was important to us.After I received it, I immediately tested it to see if the reviewer was correct or not; fortunately, ours was magnetized as shown by the attached photos showing paper clips attaching to both the inside and outside of the faucet. The magnets are in the faucet itself, not the spray head, and they are strong enough to hold the paper clips vertically on the outside of the faucet. I am not claiming that the reviewer was incorrect; I had exactly the same issue with a Delta faucet where they left the magnet out and, in order to replace it had to replace the entire water spout (sometimes called water supply line). Things happen but I've never had them happen with hansgrohe so, I am not surprised to see that either the reviewer was mistaken or it was a rare one-off incident. In any case, as with my past experience with hansgrohe, their support is also excellent.I will install this at a later date, take pictures of the installation and post them. We have only owned Hansgrohe products in our homes without issue. This is the first time (because of location and timing), that I attempted to purchase a faucet online through Amazon. I figured that I would receive a genuine product, that would install/work from the moment I had it put in. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the case with this faucet. I had a plumber professionally install the faucet and the faucet dribbles and is extremely difficult to pull the sprayer out (or retract back in, which concerns us because how will it wear through the years). Luckily, I was able to call Hansgrohe directly for assistance and they sent me new parts to install into my existing faucet. I haven’t had the opportunity to change things out to fix the faucet yet. Hopefully, it works!

Did you know, that this hansgrohe brand is the original Grohe company, also another highly reputable faucet brand? It's a long fascinating story if you're ever into the history of faucet brands lol. But anyway, hansgrohe makes excellent premium faucets, and this one is no exception. What is exceptional, is that this is the first faucet I have that has a "black chrome" finish. It's a combo of the regular matte black, but with a chrome shiny finish. It is very striking to look at in person, especially if sunlight ever hits it directly. The one bad thing is that water spots show up more evidently, heightened by the combination of both the black color plus the shiny finish. So it can be a hassle to keep wiping it down if you want to keep it at tip top shape. However, unlike regular shiny silvery chrome, the discoloration from water marks and other things, will not stand out as much since it is black. So although I still prefer matte surfaces such as matte black and brushed nickel and stainless steel, etc., this is now my favorite shiny finish, over regular chrome, and shiny gold finish. If you are in the market for something that looks different, I can vouch for this black chrome finish. And as for the quality and functionality of the actual faucet, everything handles and operates fine, like any other premium faucet such as those from Moen, Delta, etc., so you don't have to worry about that. I have used it for almost two months now, and it has been working fine.

I used this hansgrohe Allegro N 1-Handle 16-inch Tall Stainless Steel Kitchen Faucet to replace a delta faucet. What a difference, this faucet is great. First of all, this is a very sharp and modern looking faucet. The water stream is strong, and the spray reaches all corners of my sink. The handle is very smooth. The stainless steel cleans up really nice. The installation went very smoothly. I expect this faucet to last a long time, because of the quality of hansgrohe faucets. Their customer service is very helpful if you ever need them.

You get what you pay for! I know, you’re looking at this price for a bath sink and thinking it’s ridiculously high. I used to think that too, until I ended up with costly repairs and replacements of average priced faucets that just didn’t hold up. These faucets can handle the long run. Once you put these Faucets in, you will never replace them. I have tried a lot of high-end brands and I find that this brand out shines them all in beauty, engineering and quality. I find the instructions are clear and straightforward and installation is quick and easy. As far as the price? You get what you pay for and I will gladly pay for this quality. Because if you don’t, you’ll end up paying even more later on… Ask me how I know LOL!
