Grande Epicure M8007403 Turkey Board with Carving Tools Slot, 14 by 20-Inch

This board was apparently not sanded! It is so rough. There is no finish on it. All the fat goes into the wood and it is so hard to clean. I bought this product a long time ago, used it about twice, and haven't used it since.

Good value for the size, the only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because the wood cracked within the first month. The surface texture is also a little rough making it feel cheaper. Still a great product.

This board is unique for its size and deep well with an adequate groove to drain juices. It is a great value for as long as it lasts. Mine split and leaked after one year. But it was my main board for that year. I have glued it twice, but it just started leaking again. The wood and construction are just not good enough to make a long lasting board. However, because I love it and it is reasonably priced I am ordering another. I am not perfect about keeping the board oiled and free from water washing. I treat it the same as my other more durable boards that are not as well sized and designed. This would be a 5 star rating if the board did not have a tendency to split.

My initial review of this chopping board was four stars. I have had it for several months now and I've taken off a star.Here is the initial review: "The chopping board is a nice size, thin but strong. It's thin enough and light enough to be easily handled. It's big enough for most jobs, probably even a turkey. It arrived a little rough to the touch, which is why it wasn't a five-star. Needs a little sanding and oil."The board still eats mineral oil and still needs sanding. In addition, it has warped, which is very disappointing. However, the board still works and the groove works as intended. I like using a wooden chopping board vs a plastic one.UPDATE: I tossed this chopping board. It started to crack about 1.5 years ago and has since split. It is now in the landfill.

This cutting board is the perfect size for my husband to use while grilling spare ribs or chicken. The groove to catch the liquid is a plus as he uses it to transfer meat to the grill and after I wash it, he cuts the meat on it when done. We actually use it to serve the food, too. The only thing is it really has to be oiled after use to keep it smooth.
