This set is made for more than 4 players. It starts with 15. If you usually only play with 4 people, get a set that starts with 12. The train colors are vivid. The trays could be a little longer. But for as large as this set is, it is fairly compact. Great value for the cost. The case is very durable. I would recommend.

The extended (double 15) Mexican Train set is great. A nice metal case that is large enough you can just toss the dominoes in - you don't have to stack them neatly like some sets. Fun game for adults, might be a challenge for pre-teens.

Our church celebrates a yearly "Harvest Mass" celebration which includes a basket raffle. One of the baskets our choir provides every year has a family fun night theme and we always include a Mexican Train Dominoe set in the basket. My family has played this game for many years and it is our go to game for all of our get togethers. It is easy to transport and can be played by multiple people...and we all love the train whistle when we win a game. Because it is so compact, easy to carry so much fun, it makes a great gift for any occasion. If you don't know by now, this is my favorite table game of all time!

We have a group of 4 that play (Dominoes) every weekend (since 2013) and sometimes we have extra guests so we may be playing with six players however the double 12 seems to be over too quickly because you have too many people for the number of dominoes. This set is great because it extended the playtime for our regular group. When we have extra people, it’s ends too quickly.Now the cons for this is that even though it’s made by the same company, the colors are very drab. Most look faded compared to the double 12 set. I think everybody misses the bright colors.. And some of the visually challenged tots are complaining because they actually have to count dots now instead of just matching colors. For me personally, the colors make it easier to teach kids how to play in fact the colors do double duty..Now, if you want to play a shorter game, just start with the double 12. There’s no rule that says you have to start with the double 15.We have a double 12 set and the double 15 set made by the same company and this review is for the double 15.Leslie, these are not jumbo or even extra large dominoes. They are standard size (Dominoes) as compared to my old ivories.

Such a great kid. Came in perfect condition, very portable set. Dominoes are high quality. Multiple games can be played with the same set! Taught my family and grandma to play train dominoes and we had a blast! Easy to understand and setup.

The colors are not very vibrant yellow stands outcgren blue black grey purple hard to differentiate.Dominos are thinner than most and edges are rounded so they fall over more often.Nice set but would be nicer if colors were more vibrant and the dominos were a CB little thicker so they could stand on edge better.Nice because you can have more players

We played at a family member's house and had fun so we got one for ourselves. The colours are not really easy to see although it is better when played in natural light on the deck. But it is more about the number of dots than it is about the colours. It is easy to chat while you play.
