I just received my black SONGMICS Cube Shaped Storage Ottoman. I'm very impressed! It arrived in a flatbox, but quickly folds out to a cube. Next, you insert the bottom square into the cube. The bottom immediately stabilizes it. The lid then goes on top. Considering the price, the lid looks excellent...not cheap or junky in the least. I did not detect the common strong chemical smell of some new products, but the instructions say to keep it open for 2 to 3 days to air it out so there's no scent at all. It doesn't seem necessary, but I'm doing it just to be safe.This cube is a wonderful upgrade from the makeshift stack of heavy shoebox-sized photo boxes I had been using by my couch to hold my TV remotes. This cube, unlike my photoboxes, would be a great foot rest. And unlike my shoeboxes, I can put a tray of food and drink on top of the cube with no worries of it tipping or sliding. It is also very strong and can take a more than two hundred pound person. Good to note that the instructions caution you not to drop down forcefully on it. I would say this normally only comes into play if you have children, especially teen boys. I also cannot say how the faux leather on top would stand up to cat or dog scratching, but that's more than any piece of "furniture" should be expected to survive.I don't immediately know what I will put inside the cube for storage, but I'm thrilled to have one more place to stash afghans or boxes of candles.Great product. Very well built and very well finished. I'm so happy with it!I highly recommend this product. Though I cannot say how long it will last, my first experience makes me expect I will have it a long time.

This storage/bench is sturdy and has the perfect space for storing the blankets and bedding I bought it for. It was just the right size to use as a coffee table in our spare room in front of our bed/sectional we use when company comes. Plan on purchasing again when our basement is finished. The black was a true black and went beautifully with my finished wood pieces in the room.

I purchased this (43 inch) storage ottoman a year ago in Jan. & it's still in excellent condition! It's nice looking & very versatile. I live in a small studio apt. I originally ordered this to put at the foot of my full size bed for some much needed extra storage. And while it was a perfect size, it made my apt. look smaller, so I planned to return it. While deciding what to do with it, I placed it in my long hallway, under a hugh painting and to my surprise, it looked great there! So I kept it.I find it to be sturdy. (I don't have young kids or pets). If I still had my cat, I know it would be a favorite place for her to lay with a soft blanket! :) I use it to store odds & ends, but also some linens & throw blankets & pillows. It holds a lot! It's so convenient that you can open each side of the lid, rather than taking the whole thing off. ~ I sit on it all the time ~ It's in a hallway so while it's not regular seating, I do make good use of it. For reference, I am a 148 pound female. It's held up extremely well.It was so easy to put together....but one complaint is that it did come with an odor. I aired it out & the odor lessened, but to this day it still has a faint "cedar" smell. Not strong at this point, but there. A nice looking useful piece. Only downside was the odor.

I'm amazed how good this is. The price is great for such a useful item. Out of the box, it took seconds to set up. Once done, this thing turned out better than I expected. It is not shaky, and I never got the feeling it was about to collapse. I use it daily while putting shoes on/off. The lid even opens so you can store stuff in there. This isn't fancy by any means, but it is very functional. If you have kids, this would be an absolute must. The description says it holds 600+ lbs. I'm not sure I'd try that, but it should hold most people no problem.

I bought this for my camper since I don't have recliner seats to keep my feet and legs up., it worked great for me to be able to kick my legs up, nice and light to move around and has nice storage in it for blankets or anything else. You can even take the bottom piece out and fold it up to store when not using. Nice sturdy top, I was able to sit on it and didn't notice any give like it wanted to collapse. Would recommend this

This was so easy to set up, adds extra storage space for bedding, is a great seat for putting on shoes, and a solid place for dogs to lay.Happy with the function. The material is nice and easy to clean. It feels sturdy but is easy for me to move on my own/isn’t too heavy.Overall happy with this purchase.

Great size and stores all my stuffies. Easy to assemble and the cushion is soft to sit on. Holds my weight and my boyfriends. Easy to move and the color matches my room setup.
