The directions have little to do with the product
You'ew instructed to mount the holder and place the ball so the "blue arrow is pointed down." That sounds simple enough save for the fact that there is NO BLUE ARROW. I therefore removed the plastic outer covering thinking the blue arrow would be inside. It is NOT. I don't know if this product is now useless or will still work. It took three weeks to arrive and lacks adequate directions. I cannot recommend this product though the concept is great. I actually bought two of these and will therefore have no idea at all how to properly mount the 2nd one.

This is the smallest size about the size of a baseball or a Christmas 🎄 tree ornament. When you look at the pictures on Amazon it's shows the larger 1.3 Kg. The size of this would make little difference in a real fire situation. This item cant be returned for whatever reason. So Amazon Prime members beware also the price dropped to $25 I paid $29 for the little orange ball

BUYER BEWARE
WARNING: The one sold and shipped by Amazon was the size of a softball, and NOT the one shown in the photos. The one sold and shipped by E-FIRESHOP was much much larger and cost a couple dollars less. I am torn on what to rate this product, as the rating has nothing to do with the product (which I assume works as advertised). I will rate this at a 4 stars right now to not lower the average, because I am only trying to inform other shoppers about this discrepancy because Amazon WILL NOT ACCEPT RETURNS ON THIS PRODUCT.

Not the same as the original one I bought. Is this the knock off version??
This is definitely not the same as the original one I bought which is bigger, heavier and has a blue arrow on the bottom and the thing to mount it on the wall is made out of metal. This new one is smaller and doesn't have the blue arrow on the bottom and the mount for the wall is some kind of plastic like material. Did I just purchase the counterfeit version?

Better than expected
From the photo on amazon, the ball looked almost the size of a basketball or something. But it arrived and it was about the same size as a softball or grapefruit. So I'm pleasantly surprised there. I haven't had the opportunity to try this product out (thank god) but it's always tempting to give it a try. I hope it works when needed!

Good product
Hope I never have to use this, but it give me a piece of mind keeping a few of these on the top or our kitchen cabinets close to the stove area.

I bought three
Honestly, I have not used this product yet but it is a goof idea. I hope I never have tours it. However, I bought three: I put one in the trunk of each of my two cars and one on top of my refrigerator which is next to the stove. Statistically, the most likely place for a fire in the home at the stove. I figure if a fire starts on the stove, it might trigger the ball to explode and automatically put out the fire.

The product looks solid enough and the bracket is fairly easy to mount. I can’t tell you if it works or not and I hope I never get to test it since that means I had a fire.But it gives me a little more sense of security above certain equipment.
