1 Mod for Perfection
Very sturdy. No play in the blades, which are easy to swap. Just add a thumb stud for one handed opening and it's perfect.

Awesome budget edc
Clip point blade was razor sharp right out of the box. Easy blade changes and wide selection of optional blades and tools make this knife a great choice for your emergency kit. Only complaint is the thumbhole size and shape makes it hard to open one handed

It feels almost too lightweight
I'm used to having a bit more heft to a knife... This one feels... wrong... The knife is actually a good knife. I have several blade trader type knives. The others have a nice weight to them. However, this knife compares well with the others. All of them are easy to change the blades. The blades on all of them feel secure once locked in. The handle scales on this knife are aluminum. Because they are aluminum, they get scratched up & dinged easily. The one I received had scratches on the scales straight out of the box. But, I don't think of this as a beauty contest. As long as the knife performs to my expectations, I'll be happy. So far, I'm happy with this purchase.

Actual EDC knife
From weather emergencies to wrapping gifts, the Roxon S802 has been my go-to for everything since I got it last summer. Adding the S502 lets me use the same excellent blades with less weight -- or more likely carrying both, e.g., with a serrated blade in the S802 and a plain edge on the S502. I do wish that blades could be purchased individually, rather than in pre-selected sets of three, but the sets are really economical and a great value overall, so no points deducted for that. I've been accumulating knives and multi-tools for decades, and have a lot of stuff now that I love, but never carry, not wanting to lose or damage items that would be hard to replace. But my Roxons actually see daily carry -- I just need to buy a few backups for safety, I never want to be without these excellent tools. 👍

Great Utility Knife
Has been a very handy knife. Takes down easy and comes back together just as easy. Honestly id recommend this to anyone looking for a simple, basic utilitarian knife with modularity potential.

Edited Review of the S502U...
With hindsight, I feel my original review of this upgraded knife was a little harsh, so I have decided to revise it to be more reasonable. Full disclosure, I have been in touch with Roxon support (directly from China). They explained why they made the changes they did, and although I am still not a fan of losing the single-hand operation, I do understand why they opted and even had to do what they did with the S502U redesign. The knife is very well made. It's also a very handsome knife. The G10 casing is a nice upgrade. I have no way of knowing how the original metal casing felt in comparison, but I can imagine it feels similar (if not the same) to the Roxon S501 scissor/knife combo that I also own. I do actually like the S501 all metal casing, but I would probably like it more if it was G10. All the accessory blades that I purchased for the Roxon S802 fit the S502U well and it is easy and quick to change them out. It is nice to be able to carry around a single blade when it is not feasible/possible to carry around the heavier/bulkier S802. Honestly, I would probably rate this knife 4 stars, deducting one star for losing the single-handed operation. However, I really do appreciate how much Roxon support has reached out and followed up with me, and feel that alone should at least be worth 1 star. You cannot really go wrong with Roxon. I have bought several of their tools/knives/blades, and they are all rather high quality. Add to that excellent customer support and it makes Roxon a brand to be reckoned with in the knife/tool industry.

LEGIT
This is a solid knife. Roxon is onto something here and I hope they don’t greedy like the other big guys. Every single blade I installed which was all 17 of them fit like a glove and the quality of each blade or tool was better than anything I’ve seen in a long time. Make some tech tool attachments or look at the trades and see what each of is using on a daily basis and replicate it in the same way you did this one. Good luck
