Really Great Gloves
I use these gloves for everything from driving gloves, to work gloves, to shooting gloves, to shoveling snow. They are not insulated, so they dont keep you hands terribly warm, but they are great for keeping them dry, clean, and just a little warm on a cool morning. They fit very well. It's interesting, they are not terribly expensive, but there are cheaper gloves such as what you can get from Harbor Freight. Well trust me, just get these instead, if for no other reason get them for the fit. If you need two reasons, then the second reason is the materials. They feel so nice. A little stiff when you first get them, but just wear them for a few hours doing whatever you would reguarly do with gloves on, and you will soon forget they are there. The leather palms and fingers provide a good grip and they also allow you to still use a smartphone. Of course you dont have the dexterity that you would have without them, which is especially noticable when trying to type those tiny letters on the screen, but they have enough to answer a call, key in your lock screen code, and other simple tasks. If you are looking, just buy them. You will be glad that you did.

These gloves work well for stocking
I do about 18 hours of straight stocking per week at my own job, and these gloves, although high-quality and with good grip, lasted me about 2 months before the fingertips started tearing.Overall, they're pretty comfortable but thin, so be careful in cold environments. They grip well, and I have had zero problems with them besides me getting the wrong fit (I should have gotten a size down, but I think I'm between a small and medium). They're also still usable with the fingers tearing. I just cut the tips off for fingerless gloves. If you're okay with spending $20 every 2-3 months for pretty good gloves, then these are for you!

Gloves you'll actually WANT to wear...
I just ordered a replacement pair of these because I like them so much. That may sound like a bad thing, but you must first understand I've had the first pair for many years and I used them for a TON of different things, some of which were probably a bit more than "light duty". These are by far the best gloves I've ever had. These are not gardening gloves, nor are they heavy machinery gloves, so they would probably fall apart pretty quickly under such conditions. But they're the perfect "do everything else" gloves to protect your hands during such activities as electrical work, working with power tools, carpentry, plumbing, etc. Their tight fit and maximum dexterity make them quite cozy to wear, thus I find myself reaching for them when I should, as opposed to dreading putting them on. I love using them when doing electrical work such as replacing receptacles or switches. Just in case the power isn't off for some reason, they're another line of defense. The other day I was swapping out a bad receptacle and was trying to figure out why I was feeling a slight itch in my left hand. Turns out the power was on and my finger (with the gloves on) was laying across both contacts! That most definitely would have felt a lot worse without the gloves on. Bottom line: you will not regret buying these gloves. Just make sure you find the right size by trying them on in a store first.

Life Is Too Short To Wear Garbage Gloves
I bought these as a replacement for another pair of Mechanix gloves that finally gave up the ghost after 6 years of light duty. I live on 6 acres so I have plenty of 'honey-do' tasks to knock out and I had been satisfied with my first pair of Mechanix so I thought I would give these a try. I like how they fit and for most of the tasks I do, which are DIY/homeowner types (not heavy-duty professional tasks) these are perfect. From pulling weeds to splitting wood to stacking hay, I've always been satisfied.I can't speak to their durability just yet since I have only had them for a few months, but if I can get even half as much time from them as I did my last pair, I'll be pretty happy with that. They might not be beefy enough for really heavy duty tasks, but for anything I would put under the 'utility' category I think they deliver.

Wrench hard, wear out, replace, repeat...
I go through a couple of these a year and they are hard to beat for wrenching on off-road rigs, or any other household or shop chores. They allow for dexterity in grabbing small items and are tough enough to protect from most knocks, scrapes and dings when wrenching, cutting, fabricating, etc. I've tried the more expensive version with the rubberized knuckle protectors...and these simply do the job, at a much lower price. I do like the added protection of the rubberized version, but these are half the price and less bulky in engine compartments.
