Fit Great looks even better
Had the old metal vents that never really shut all the way. Got these figuring it can’t be any worse. But I must say these look like recessed lights and look so much better than the old stuff. Super easy to install and look great

Use screws, and also place one on inside.
I placed a screw on the inside. I predrilled a hole through the dark plastic and into the metal vent hole. I noticed if you don’t do this and closed the vent, the air can loosen the hold of the cover and drop out. There were no screws that came with the vent so you’ll need to get some. They really look better than the metal ones that get rusty over time. Adding that extra screw on the inside really makes this perfect. I showed the difference in two photos of how not having that extra screw in starts blowing the vent out. The flushed vent is with the screw and air blowing. Hope this helps.

Great quality
This is an excellent vent. I am using it for my shower fan with a light. Happy to see the inside seperates from the white exterior so I can paint it to match the tile and disappear. The quality of both pieces is excellent. Having just built a house I've purchased several vents and wish I found this one sooner as I've already installed the others. Go for it! PS: You can easily attach clips to the interior if you need a "spring" to make this fan cover stay like how pot lights have. I just removed mine from the included ugly fan cover and put on this one. Voila!

Water can get in if left open.
Product worked as intended to exhaust hot air from portable AC unit. However, if it starts to rain or sprinklers are spraying onto that area, it automatically allows the water to travel in. I would suggest making in upper U shape with the expandable hose so that this water does not travel inside the portal AC unit

Perfect low cost solution
I wanted a way to control the air in my newly finished basement. I ended up painting them black to match my ceiling and works great. Installed with three self tapping screws in minutes. The other options would have cost three to four times more.

OK for what it is, better if you read Chinese...
This seems like a fairly well designed plastic vent. We are using it at the end of a bathroom exhaust vent. There are louvers that can be adjusted to decrease of the flow through the vent. Since we are using this as an exhaust vent, we didn't need them and they were easy to remove. The outer white vent cover clips on to a a dark grey housing which extends a couple of inches into the vent with clips (4" in our case). Since our vent was bending just above where we installed this, we removed the extension and caulked the connection to make a seal. The outer vent cover snaps securely to the inner mounting which attaches to a flat surface with 4 provided screws. The product comes with illustrated instructions, but they are only written in Chinese. So you have to go by the pictures. Thankfully, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out how to install a vent cover. I would not recommend this for a heating vent if you want to be able to periodically change the flow level through the vent to increase or decrease the heat or cooling. There is no easy way to change the flow other than removing the vent cover and adjusting the louvers and then reattaching the cover. Not a convenient solution if that is what is needed.

Poor design
The flanges which are suppose to hold the def-user in the pipe do not hold. Mine fell out on the kitchen able. If there is another way to hold them in the pipe it is not in the instructions. Oh wait, there were no instructions.

Vent cover
Cheap build.Louvers on it close or open on there own, feels cheap but gets the job done for what it’s intended/Restricts air flow slightly. Air flow without cover 10/10. Air flow with cover about a 6/10.
