These are excellent, I use them with my magic arms and set my phone or ipad to monitor and control my cameras. Be careful not to leave them unattended in busy areas because the can get knocked off the base. Still I think these made a great addition to my arsenal of filmmaking gear.

I use this in an unconventional way and it works great! The magnet is strong. I used this on a tripod at about 6ft high. I would mount a car mountable roof antenna to it for my GMRS base station radio and it worked great!

Super strong magnet is a really thin frame.

Used these to modernize how i attach my phone to my tripod. Since I have to add and remove my phone several times throughout the shoot this is much better than a standard phone mount.Added this to my osmo pocket 3 rig and it makes it much much faster to use.

I only bought the mount and not the bundle with the mini tripod. I attached the mount to a SmallRig table top tripod to use for iPhone app development. I connect my iPhone with a cable for faster build times so didn't need a magsafe stand with charger. And the fact that this is metal and held securely on the tripod means absolutely no shaking or wobbles when touching the phone screen. For some reason that drives me crazy. I bought another plastic magsafe tripod mount that broke in 2 days so I definitely recommend a metal solution like this one.

I've been trying out a few MagSafe compatible tripod mounts, and this one was noticeably worse than all the others. The back was just a printed sticker attempting to mimic a radial metal pattern, and the magnets were significantly weaker than the competitors I've used.I have a number of other Neewer products that are ok (affordable/serviceable), but this magnetic tripod mount was terrible and immediately returned. There are much stronger and higher quality options for the same price or less.
