Was worried at first, but works like a charm
Some reviews talking about fires or whatever had me worried. But now the thing is on all the time and I don't worry at all. It's not a fast charger, about 80W max. But that's all I really need.

Nice Slow Trickle Charger
As others have done, I retrofitted the alligator clamps to a standard 120V plug so I can plug into an AC outlet and then plug into my battery box to charge my ebike. It take a while to charge but it works very well, nice slow, trickle charge and charges from 40% to full overnight. I had my first one stolen, so I ordered it again, only this time I will install a security box to house it in and use star bit screws so that it can't get stolen again. I currently live on the 2nd floor and can't bring my bike inside for charging so the security box will have to do. I don't know what the thieves could possibly do with a specially retrofitted unit like I had, but they won't be able to steal it again without making a lot of noise, which will get them caught red handed! I use 4 of the 12 volt 18ah mighty max AGM batteries and it does just fine. Recommend it for anyone who uses AGM or sealed lead acid batteries. My 1000 watt front wheel always has an excellent pull after being charged overnight. I might note that the electric wheel I have will show no power when it reaches 48 volts or below, and the secret to keep going seems to be using less than full throttle. It will get up and go using full throttle but for longer distances, better to keep it dialed back and let it discharge slower.

Nice charger!
I have 4 lead acid batteries on my ebike and this charger exceeded my expectations. Works flawlessly and has a battery gauge to visually represent the fill level. Great price too. Update: i was distracted by a loose battery terminal and didnt notice the alligator clips touched each other, the internal curcuit fried before i could yank them apart :( i would buy another as replacement, but they are out of stock, and need it quick.

Seems pretty good
Seems to charge well so far. Be aware though, if you leave it connected to your batteries and unplug it from the wall or turn it off with a timer, it will discharge the batteries at about 6.5 mA. I used it in a small electric go-kart and wanted to keep the charger on board. I had to add a relay to disconnect the charger when it's not receiving AC power to keep it from draining the batteries when not in use.

Works nicely, and I'll update the review in the future ...
**Edit 9-4-18** I've been using this for 4+ months, nearly every day to charge my e-bike battery pack. Works great, and has a number of safety features built in. I have, however, modified it some (and voided any warranty I'm sure) so that instead of the alligator clips (jumper cable-style) I wired a standard household receptacle (outlet) and mounted it to this charger box. On the other end (the e-bike) I wired a standard 2 prong electrical cord to the battery packs terminals, allowing a much simpler plug & charge solution.Using this to charge my homemade 48V SLA battery pack (4x 12V, 10Ah) for my e-bike. Works nicely, and I'll update the review in the future with longevity comments (if any).

It is a great little charger.
OK so its not that little, but it works and it charges the 48v battery system to the max, which if you are using lead acid batteries for an e-bike you want every little bit of power. This is a simple smallish device that works.

Does its job as advertised. Took two units to get one that worked.
The first charger I received was stuck in error mode and dead on arrival. Amazon had a replacement out the next day. This new charger has about 5 charges under its belt now and still working. I'd be lying if I said I trusted this to last, but so far it's been pretty good. Takes about 4 hours to charge 7ah batteries.
