Have cooked in these pots on stove top. They have held up well on low heat for soups, lentils, rice, etc. I would not recommend cooking on medium or high heat (gas-stove top) - food will stick and burn. I wish bottom was thicker.These do work from cooking straight to serving, and that's convenient, and the hammered handi look is beautiful.The larger one has a teensy bit of a wobble but doesn't affect performance.Size is good for a family of 4 easily- and perhaps more depending on what is being cooked. I use these to make daal in large one , and rice in small one, comfortably for a family of 4 to 5.One negative for me is the price. Paid USD 30 for these, feel it's a bit pricey. But quality is good so I hope to get my money's worth out of these. Highly recommend!
