This solar light works great. It can be clamped to the flag pole or staked into the ground. I staked it into the ground to get the best angle to light up the flag.

Really like this flag pole light. It's a strong WHITE light, and much brighter than I thought it would be. I mounted mine "overhead", facing down, on my flag. At close range, it's a bit "directional" rather than a flood type light, but it DEFINATELY illuminates my flag. GOOD battery power, too. The directions say to expose the solar light to 3-days of sunshine before installation, but we're in Summer- 16 hours of sunshine every day - fooey on 3-days! Mine comes on at dusk and is STILL well-lit when it goes off at dawn! (I saw it go off, and I actually covered the solar panel at dawn to prove that it wasn't out of power.) LOVE THIS LIGHT! (Also comes with a two-piece Ground Stake, which I didn't use.)

Light worked well the 1st day, the second day the light wouldn't come on at dusk. When I took the pole off of the wall mount the light came on very dim. When I moved the light on the pole it brightened up as it should. Next evening no light, took the pole down again and the light came on briefly then went out.

We use this light on our flag pole while we are camping. Perfect for lighting up the flag at night.

This was very easy to install and it works GREAT!!!

I want to fly my American flag night and day and this product let's me do that. I skipped the 3 day charging routine and mounted the solar light right out of the box. That night, the flag illuminated as advertised.
