This is a great little planer
I love this planer! I collect them and have some expensive Stanley's and this has become my go to. I bought this not expecting much because it is cheap. And wow you won't be disappointed. But make sure you sharpen and stone all the surfaces it works out of the box but after some twicking it's great

Not bad for the price
A good little plane. I use it often. I found the casting in the corners of the throat slot rough and cleaned them up with a small file. Good casting otherwise. The iron is perfect and needed little work to get it razor sharp.

Great little plane
This thing works great. It was not assembled correctly when it arrived so I couldn’t adjust it as needed. Once I saw the problem and corrected the assembly it’s been working great.

You get what you pay for.
This item was a bit tricky to adjust and use. It works OK for the price, but don't expect too much.

It's a $20 plane, if it meets your needs why pay more! (but you may want to)
I had a hard time reviewing this plane because for the price it's fantastic, but is definitely not as nice as an entry level model sold at a local woodworking store.Cons:Blade is THIN! (.08" vs .12) on a better quality blade. The sole and blade were not flat and required significant effort to flatten. The throat doesn't close up as tight as it should. I think a 1/8" was the tightest I could get it to close (1/16" from the blade edge), increasing tear-out on some wood.I found the blade difficult to advance/fine tuning wasn't easyOverall smaller size and weight than other block planes I've usedPros:After spending a LOT of time flattening and resharpening the blade, I was able to get decently fine shavings (.003 or so thick)Costs about 15% of the price of the green woodworking store's block plane (but you're getting a much better plane for that price)If you just need to knock some edges off, you can't go wrong for the price!Overall if I was going to give this a star review compared to all other block planes, regardless of quality, I'd probably rank this as two stars. But I think price is important here which is why I gave it four stars. I was able to get it sharp (using the scary sharp system), albeit with much more effort that I would have liked, and was able to use it to trim some end grain off a joint I heeded to clean up on a door I was making. If you don't have a lot of money to spend, or don't want to spend a bunch of money for a higher quality tool (maybe you're not sure if you're going to stick with woodworking or just need something to do basic chamfers on edges and corners) this is good option. I'll probably end up using this for some rougher work and maybe even glue cleanup where I won't be upset if I ding the blade.

Pretty rough, but it does work
This plane can be made to work, but the experience is not pleasant. The initial impression is pretty good. The plane arrives in a nice box that contains the plane, an instruction sheet, and promotional literature. There is a good bit of oil on the plane and blade that need to be removed. The blade is relatively sharp out of the box, which is nice. The sole is flat and the sides seem to be pretty close to 90 degrees to the bottom. However, once you start trying to adjust the plane things start to go downhill. I am pretty sure that the lever cap is plastic rather than metal. It was difficult to get it to tighten without moving around. The lever was pretty stiff, although a bit of oil made it better. I think the lever cap is by far the weakest part of this plane.Once I got the lever cap reasonably situated, the blade depth control works okay. The side to side adjustment lever is okay, but moving it tends to cause the blade to move around in undesirable ways, I think because the lever cap isn’t holding it well enough. The mouth adjustment is the other really weak part of this plane. In theory it should allow closing down the opening very close to the blade to achieve a very fine shaving. Unfortunately, the adjuster does not move the plate all the way back to the blade. It can be pushed from the front to get it closer to the blade, but I don’t think it ever closes all the way at a small blade depth. One other shortcoming in this plane is that the edges are not relieved, so you can feel them as you’re holding and using the plane.Overall, this plane can be made to work, but it takes a lot of patience to get it there. It’s still pretty rough even when it does work. I can’t really recommend this plane unless for some reason you need the cheapest thing that can take some shavings. I think anyone that has experience with planes would find this unpleasant to use, and a beginner would find it very frustrating to try to make this work.
