Significant improvement to sleep quality š“
1 year product review. The NEAT AquaPad has worked great, improved deep sleep, and is the product I didnāt know I needed.Pros:+ As an active cooling device (water evaporation), it will get sufficiently cool during hot nights.+ Much cheaper than running the house AC, the NEAT AquaPad has paid for itself in a few months+ It is quiet, with minimal light output and is easy to sleep while itās runningCons:- Water filling is a bit slow and tedious, and as others mention, I have found it needs to be refilled daily (during the summer months in CA). Be sure you are using distilled water. Still worth the minor inconvenience- Takes some trial and error to get the thermal regulation right, I have found adding sheets/blanket on top to be the best.Although I was initially hesitant, Iām glad to have purchased this product.

This FL girl really loves this product!
I have had so many family members get the bed, Jets or the bed fans that go under the sheets at the end of the bed. My close family members love those, but I have three large dogs that most nights I have one or two on my bed. Thus, those bed jets would not work.I got this a little skeptical, but I love Amazonās return policy so figured Iād give it a go.Previous reviews mentioned the smell. That didnāt bother me to the extent it did the others. I laid it outside in the sun for a little bit to get the wrinkles out and put it under my sheet. This will run really cold under your sheet. As other reviews have mentioned, it feels similar to laying on a waterbed for those of us to remember what that felt like..they could sometimes get really cold.So down here in Central, Florida when the heat wave got crazy last week, and our AC went out, this was a godsend, and worked perfectly. The textured pad may take some time to get used to, and it can get wrinkled under your sheet after a night of sleeping on it. I simply make my bed every day and straightened it.I found once our AC got working, it was starting to feel a little too chilly for me. Which was greatā¦until I was too cold. 𤣠For the first few nights, this was remedied by my dogs, who made little hot spots when sleeping on the other side of the bed to which I made them switch sides with me around 3am so I could warm up.You can choose a lower setting on the machine, but I donāt know that does much.Since then, I decided to try and see if I could feel the āchillā I was getting at a more subtle temperature by putting it under my mattress pad and my sheet. Iām happy to report, at least for the first few nights it seems to be working perfectly, and keeping me at just the right temp. I do not have a really thick mattress pad.The only things that frustrate me about this close to perfect product is that the lights on the machine donāt tell you much. The remote works great, except the extreme cooling function button when pushed doesnāt light anything up on the machine. So you are unaware if youāve engaged that function or not. So you just have to push the button and wait to see if it gets cold or not.Adding water isnāt too much of a big deal, except getting the top off to add water is more difficult than it should be. I never fully put it back down because itās always so hard to get back up.The hose needs to be longer, but Iām planning on taking it to Home Depot to see if I can go get some similar and make it longer.I also got additional parts that I have no idea what they were for and they were not indicated in the instructions. They seem to be some sort of filter for the water, but I didnāt use them in the end.

0 instructions, Loud, NOT WORTH IT
1. Zero instructions. Luckily you only need to attach a hose to the pad and to the cooler, but there are a bunch of extra parts that I have no idea are for what.2. Loud as hell. Good luck sleeping with this cooler humming like an air fryer.3. You have to fill it on the counter so you can see the max water level. I followed the crappy picture diagram that showed you laying the pad on the bed, then attaching tubes, then filling with water. DO NOT DO THIS. You can easily miss the max fill line and overflow water everywhere. Put the cooler on the counter so you can see when to stop.4. No temp control. Itās either on or off. Stupid design, and for over $150 I expected more.SUMMARYSpend the money and spring for the far superior ChiliPad. This hunk of over priced junk will just piss you off.

Continued Use/Customer Support
This product has become a near-necessity in my life. I sleep hot very frequently, and I have found I sleep much better with it running. It gets very cool very fast, and stays cool all night long as long as it has been filled. I havenāt had any issues with leakage over my time of using it, it has a noise while running, but after about a week or so, itās like a white noise machine and doesnāt bother me anymore, and the main bits of the machine are very durable. The one bit of advice I have is to use the recommended water in the instructions. If you donāt, slimy residue will build up over time, and lessen the cooling affect over time. Itās not the end of the world though, as I have cleaned it out by running some 1/1 vinegar water ratio through the lines, letting it sit for an hour, and then dumping it with the attached water release stub thing on the bottom.I did have to use customer support and it was fast. Like freaky fast. As in I talked to someone and within 10 minutes (this was over their text support line, https://neataquapad.com/contact-us/), I got a new main unit sent to my house. The main unit had to be replaced because of a faulty USB C port being worn over time, not because of a fan, pump, or other issues you might think it would be.Overall, I would buy this again in a heart beat. The deal is better than most other products Iāve seen, the cooling affect is really good, itās reliable, and while filling this machine every 1 to 2 days is a bit annoying, it doesnāt take too much water (1-2 water bottles) to get it back to full. It takes like 3-4 water bottles from complete empty to fill it up.Anyways, thanks for reading my Ted talk about this product, have a good day.

Lacking temperature regulation
This was a quiet, easy to use cooling mat. The only issue we had is that you canāt control how cold it gets. Thereās not much temperature regulation. Even on the lowest setting it felt the same temperature as higher settings.
