Taytools Pair Hardened Steel 123 Blocks and Attachment Hardware Kit

ok, have not actually used this other than unwrapping and cleaning it but does measure square.It came well wrapped and covered in oil so that had to be cleaned.Machining looks good, no case but good deal for the price.Will be used for making model structures where I need square walls.I think it will be fine for that, good tool to have in your kit.

These are must have for model railroad and other similar craft tasks. Heavy for bracing and holding and precise for squaring the work.

Ordered these to use in the shop and was excited to try out the included hardware that allows you to attach them to each other without having any bolts protruding from the blocks. After opening them and cleaning off the oil I was pretty bummed to find that one of the blocks had 2 deep scratches on one side and all 12 bevels on each block were ground unevenly. Due to the u even bevels both blocks had a side that wasn’t fully square. I gave them 2 stars because they are accurate as far as measuring 1” x 2” x 3” but that’s about it. I ordered a replacement set and hope the new ones don’t have that issue. Will update my review once I receive them.UPDATE - So I received my replacement pair and have to say that I am very satisfied with the new pair. Even bevels and fully square on all sides. Docked a star for having to deal with returning the first set.

What can I say? They're a good general-use pair of 1-2-3 blocks. Thanks to a careful scientific test (accidentally dropping one on a concrete floor right on its corner), I can confirm that they are indeed hardened, and suffered virtually no damage. The included hardware is definitely handy, though a bit fiddly to get stuff lined up sometimes. Overall, I would recommend them.

Extremely useful tool for dealing with precise dimensions of one, two, and three inches with precise right angles with below surface hardware for connection and alignment.

Quality product, well packaged with accessory bolts and tool! Well worth the price.
