A pain to level
This unit once assembled is quite nice and sturdy. However the same thing can be made with 3/4 inch PVC pipe and T's and a can of black spray paint.Assembling was pretty straightforward and once you did on level the rest are the same. The issue i ran into was loosening the bolt to adjust caused the other side to fall out of alignment because the T's can be positioned anywhere. There should be a centered mark on each pipe. Aside from all that the system is quite solid with no flex. I did break three of the included feet sliding them on so not sure what the deal is with them.

holds the bins, but assembly was a nightmare
Well, I'm going backward on this review - The result is... the shelving system works. It is holding my bins, and it provides more room to open the lid if I need to get in the bins. If that's all you need to know, you could probably stop reading now. However, I have more details to share when assembling this unit. First, this is a heavy box, please get someone to help carry it or push/use a dolly. Second, I do enjoy building furniture and have no problem assembling anything... but this was a nightmare...Upon opening the box, all the pieces were accounted for. The instruction said the unit could be completed in 10-15 minutes. It took me 2 hours with a little help from my husband. I'd suggest using a power tool because you have to loosen and tighten, loosen and tighten, rinse, and repeat with all the bolts.I was able to build 1 tier in 10 minutes... without the feet (boot). The end result was an unleveled and uneven first tier. It took a while for me to make sure that the bars are leveled, the legs are straight, and the bolts are tightened. At the bottom of the first tier, where the boot would go, they were a real pain trying to get them on. The edges of the bars had shreds of coating to peel or cut off because it prevented the boots from going over, the boots were too small and fragile. I cracked 4 boots trying to put 4 boots on... I'd suggest that the boots be made of rubber... smooth out the rim of the bars, and/or widen the opening of the boots. Preferably, all of the above.I almost rather this unit be stainless steel/silver over the black coating. As I adjusted and aligned the clamps and the bars, the coating was getting scratched all over the place... I would've much rather have the shelving unit be like the typical wire shelving material, at least I never put a scratch on those! My suggestions are besides using a power tool for all the bolts, get a mallet (for the boots) and tap gently to insert them. Use a leveler as you are building the unit to make sure the bars are leveled and the legs are straight, if you have a carpenter square, it'll help to straighten out the angles (so you don't have to readjust everything at the end, potentially unassemble it all to rebuild). It was helpful for me to turn the bolts all facing 1 direction (up and out, so I can access them consistently and not meander around the shelving trying to find the right end to loosen/tighten the bolts. Finally, get someone to help hold the pieces if possible. After building the unit, it felt wobbly. My bins weighed between 40-60 lbs each. I really don't know if each shelf should/could handle 250 lbs... My overall experience with assembling this unit was not great, it looked and felt unstable, the coating got pretty scratched up, the boots were terrible, there were too much loosening and tightening involved, and quite overpriced ($260). At this price, I could've bought 2x 6-shelf units and stacked my bins just the same with extra shelving space... So, with all that said, if you have time to kill or enjoy puzzles, this may work for you...The 2 stars are for the fact that my bins are on the shelves and I was able to access the contents in the bin easier.

Not easy to use
These are not user friendly at all to assemble. And after I assembled one correctly (pictured) I thought I had the hang of it and assembled the second one, but I apparently did the bars the wrong way on the shelf and... spoiler alert, that causes it to collapse once you put weight on it.It was too much of a pain to disassemble and reassemble, so I turned it upside down and thought it could hold stuff that way; but the overall design is not yet friendly and not even space saving.
