Was tossing up between this and an MSI Katana (which had a better 40 series GPU but on everything else). Decided to go with this as they were offering 12 monthly payments interest free through amazon finance during black friday sale so decided on this one. Really good all round for the price. Has a couple of thunderbolt ports and some other really nice I/O functionality and the GPU is pretty good. 8gb of ram is NOT enough but i think this was done on purpose as it is 1x 8gb stick so is easy to sell on (not 2x4gb) so i gave it to my nephew and he upgraded. Also i think this was deliberate to keep the price down.> I have since upgraded to 64GB and it works perfectly (officially supports only 32GB, make sure you update bios which is easy to do).> It states it only supports 1tb SSD. This is not true as im running a 2tb no problems.> It has 3 SSD ports (1xGen3 & 1xGen4). It ships with a Gen3 512gb SSD in the Gen4 port. Again... To keep the price down again no doubt; but you can move it to the spare Gen3 and buy yourself a Gen4 but MAKE SURE it is a single sided chip otherwise it fouls on the motherboard (the gen3 port has plenty of space for 2 sided chip however). I made this mistake so I can only fit my Gen4 SSD in the Gen3 port so now have to save up for another single sided Gen4. But to be honest games still load really fast so i probably wont bother...> It is noisy when gaming but that's the trade off folks.> This will Run half life Alyx in VR in High fidelity graphics at 72fps with my Pico 4 using virtual desktop so it is no slouch. I also have a pimax crystal and it cannot really run that without stuttering (as to be expected) but it can run the crystal without the USB hub as all of its USB ports are high powered.> Great battery life which is also a reason i chose it. The Lenovo Legion 5 isn't just packed with excellent hardware, but it feels great in your hands. I've had my fair share of tacky, cheap feeling gaming laptops and the Lenovo feels strong in your hands while demonstrating superb picture quality. The performance has been outstanding during titles such as Halo Infinite and DOOM Eternal, hitting an average of 90fps on both at 1440p with raytracing. It does come with a little bit of what I'd call bloatware, but it's all first party and can be removed. I haven't checked temperatures while gaming, and presumably it does get extremely hot, but I'm idling right now at 38c. Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this and beats out my previous MSI and Omen laptops in build quality by a mile.

The media could not be loaded.  I have just upgraded to this from a HP Omen 15 2020 (RTX 2060 and Ryzen 7 4800h) having owned for 2+ years. I settled with this Lenovo Legion 5 (i5 12500h and RTX 3060) as I was on a budget and wanted something under £1,000.I am very impressed on the design, the screen quality is perfect and very crisp, the built in speakers are okay I can't rave about them but sound a bit louder than my other laptop. Slightly annoyed as the item is advertised with the 4 zone RGB keyboard, but right at the bottom of the description states this model has a white keyboard. No you cannot upgrade it/buy the 4 zone and fit it as you need a motherboard with RGB controller. This model is supplied with a 300w charger.The Lenovo Vantage software used to manage your system i.e. change performance mode, GPU over lock setting, network boost, update drivers etc etc seems very straight forward to use and is displayed nicely. I prefer it compared to Omen Gaming Hub.I have only tested 2 games so far, as I had to order some more RAM. Far cry 6 seems to run surprisingly well with all high settings, I've no worries as the RTX 2060 was quite punchy for what it is so I know the RTX 3060 will serve me well.This is my first Intel processor for quite a few years and I'm very impressed with the performance, do not let 'i5' put you off, it's very pokey for what it is. I already changed the thermal paste on both of the chips as I'm quite wary of factory stuff especially with gaming laptops.What let's this unit/model down is the 8gb of ram it's shipped with, that is absolutely useless if you want to game as you're barely left with any head room but it's fine for standard use I guess. Highly recommend getting a RAM upgrade just like I did, I settled with HyperX Fury Impact and it's running terrific as I previously used the same RAM before but DDR4.All in all, this is a great model by Lenovo offering some fantastic power at an alright price. Hopefully this unit serves me well.

Laptop is great, fast and responsive. Not very loud except under load. I got it to replace a Dell and its been great so far. I use it for heavy load usage and it handles well, I use it for Vector, CAD and BIM Architectural work and it handles just fine for all projects up to residential etc... For gaming its good, doesnt sound like a harrier jump jet even under load. Multi tasks fine. The 3070 is awesome. Great products for someone who wants productivity. Of course 16Gb RAM is what it is and if your expecting to do mega projects on it, upgrade the RAM.

Really positively impressed with this Legion Lenovo Laptop. Nicely built with the keypad great for typing ! Great quality screen with good colours and good contrast! Really quick booting time ! Mine came with just 512gb of SSS memory but upgraded to an extra 2GB with a new M2 SSD, easily done ! Works really well for AutoCAD and any demanding games ! Batteries won't last more than 3-4 hrs on heavy task but I would recommend to anyone who wants to use it on desks, close to power sockets !

The laptop as a laptop is good, I had one issue with couple dead pixels bought it on prime day, Amazon was nice enough to get me a replacement. HOWEVER THE REPLACEMENT was a laptop box with cat food in it disgusting behaviour
