Bought this over the quick fittings that are plastic out of fear of a leak in my basement.It replaced what is likely a 20+ year old brass compression fitting valve that looks like it's faced a nuclear blast, but still worked, the valve just didn't seal 100% anymore.Got this valve all hooked up and turned on the water... slow drip... I guess that's why they give you Teflon tape as well? What a joke. It's supposed to be a compression fitting but the metal seems to be too hard for that. I had to soak it in liquid thread sealant then tighten everything back up and let it sit for 2 days to make sure the sealant set up and actualy kept this thing from leaking.Still a little leery of it, and will most likely change it out.The housing is solid and the valve inside is nice and tight, but... if it doesn't seal easily, and confidently, what's the point.Wish I bought something else.Tell you what though, that Tru-Blu pipe thread sealant is something incredible. It's impressed the hell out of me so many times now.

Work well and seal tight if they are installed correctly. Be wary of reviews that are from DIYers or professionals that have no clue (and there are many). If you install these fittings correctly they work very well and of course they are made of SS. Great, quality part.

I bought a bunch of these for a car wash and as soon as any amount of pressure hits them they blow right out. I tried tightening again and again and every one that we used was garbage. I think these will be ok if you are plumbing them using pex or plastic but the threads on them are too coarse and can not be used to flare our stainless steel tubing.

I have a 1/2 OD stainless wort chiller line that came with zero fittings. I figured I could just put PVC tubing on there and a hose clamp, but I didn't like that idea. I got these to convert it to 1/2 NPT and then I can put actual garden hose fittings on it and use good rubber garden hoses.

This valve leaks when connecting to water lines it is complete garbage what a useless junk item, and yes I know how to connect it and compression fittings properly, long shipping time for a pitiful result I don’t even want to waste my time returning it

These parts are well machined and of good quality, but delivery time is rather long for parts that are in stock. I usually have to wait more than two weeks to get them. Prices also vary wildly so keep checking from time to time.
