Really good quality
Good quality, 2 ways to keep it locked closed so comes in handy as a motorcyclist and it's moving about in my luggage and doesn't pop openIt's smooth but not too smooth, has been batted and dropped a few times due to clumsiness but hasn't got a mark on it as of yet. Definitely value for money

Does not leak
Bought this for my son, as every bottle we buy for school ends up leaking. This one so far, has not leaked and we have had it a while now. Really nice design.

Plasticky smell eventually goes
Slightly plasticky smell lingered for quite a few weeks, despite regular washing (used daily at work). That being said, didn’t appear to impact the taste (only used for water), and is very easy to keep clean and to secure, thanks to the wide opening and the lid-lock.

Leakproof and lightweight.
Having used this bottle for a few weeks now, I can confirm that it has proven to be leakproof. I have only been squirted in the eye once through the air hole and that was when I very stupidly tipped the bottle straight up into the air, despite it being very full! Definitely user error rather than a design fault. It’s lightweight, easy to clean and arrived odour free.

Just what I needed
I've had this for months now and it's my constant companion. The lockable lid and no spill are ideal for journeys. It's comfy to hold and generally a good water bottle

Go to water bottle in our house
Love these bottles. Have bought repeatedly when they have been lost or succumbed to their millionth drop on a hard floor. Easy to clean, no fussy straws. Easy to use, nice sip opening and clip lid. Always great colours and sizes.

Breaks in a couple of weeks
The bottle itself is perfect, dishwasher safe (many claim they are and then shrink even when on top rack).HOWEVER, the locking catch is useless, I've had 4 of these bottle for myself and the kids and EVERY SINGLE ONE has failed with broken catches within weeks. The plastic around the hinge point is not thick enough and they fracture at the thinnest point.I've tried contacting ion8 through their website, and by direct email, they have ignored all my attempts.AVOID these bottles, the previous version (classic) appears to have a different latch without the locking tab, MAYBE this may perform better but I have not tried so cannot confirm.
