Great Pomodoro timer
I was hunting for a nice Pomodoro timer. For those not in the know, a Pomodoro timer is used to measure intervals of work with brief breaks so you can remain focused. Usually that's 25 minutes of work with a 5 minute break, and after four 25 minute sessions the following break is 15 minutes.Pretty much every other timer I could find was:>Too bulky>Imprecise (did not show remaining seconds or could not be precisely set to a whole number of minutes)>Did not track when the 15 minute break was coming- it was up to you to set each segment of your breakThis was perfect. As it lets you set up to 25 intervals you simply program an 8 interval set- 25-5-25-5-25-5-25-15, save it and set it to loop continuously. The display is very legible and will show both the remaining seconds in the current interval as well as the length of the upcoming set. The device tilts at a nice angle when placed on a desk. The alarm is pretty loud for such a small device. The loudest setting was so loud my wife complained that she was woken up by it going off while I was working in the adjacent office. The quieter setting is still very audible, especially with the vibrations on. I could imagine situations where this timer wouldn't be loud enough, say at a gym where music is blaring, but that's to be expected from such a tiny device.Programming the device is not especially intuitive and you're definitely going to need to have the manual close by. But for me, it was just a matter of programming the "MULTI" set.I have yet to see how long the battery lasts. I've used mine for at least 60 hours of timing with 2 second vibration and beeps and it appears to be going strong. My guess is that how much the vibration alarm sounds will most dramatically affect battery life.EDIT: After ~4 months of use at nearly 8 hours a day and 2-5 second vibration/beeps I've gotten a low battery alert. Excellent battery.EDIT: Battery life continues to be around 4 months. Press and hold the power button for three seconds to stop and reset the timer to have it turn off after a minute. If you only pause the timer it will remain on indefinitely.EDIT: Device remains an integral part of my work day. The screen has gotten scratched a bit just being put in a laptop bag, but remains very functional.

Very Pleased Excellent Way to Have a Ready to Go Interval Workout that I can Use Across Multiple Devices
Very pleased with my Gymboss. I was looking for a device that would time my 10 minute interval workouts across various devices. You know, there is the school of thought that has it that 10 minute interval segments build cardiovascular strength and endurance. It goes something like 2 minutes on any device easy, 20 seconds all out effort, 2 minutes easy again, another 20 seconds all out, 2 minutes easy again, another 20 seconds all out and then 3 minutes easy and you are done! I sometimes do this on my erg (as in rowing machine) which has it's own means of tracking the intervals. At other times, I'm using my indoor Elliptigo which has no way to track it, hence the Gymboss. I even like to use it on my erg so I don't have to do the work to set the erg's own timer. The Gymboss is simple in that once I have that interval workout in there, it's saved so I just press one button to activate it when I'm ready to workout. I like it that there is a vibrate feature along with the beeps as sometimes when I get going it's easy to not hear the beep. Sometimes I take it to the gym when I workout on the cardio equipment there as well so super versatile in that way

Really awesome, I'm grateful Gymboss manufactures these and got the product just right. There are no bells and whistle. -well there are beeps and very customizable timers - but you get my drift. The learning curve is the only part that will give you grief and the buttons are hard to push. This is a temporary setback. Once you mess around with it for a frustrating half hour of your life, you get it, and it's really simple and extremely easy to use after that. Once you have your routines programmed in, you don't want the buttons to be easy to push if you are constantly handling or wearing it. I'm totally satisfied with this, thanks! And they had it out for shipment really, really fast. I use this for more than exercise, such as tailoring my own version of pomodoro technique type work routines and breaking up long hours of desk work when I'm alone.

Great product, excellent customer service!
I already have the Gymboss classic and wanted to try the Minimax. When it arrived the timer would not fit/clip into the wristband. I tried using the wristband from the classic but no go. I reached out to Gymboss who responded quickly (within 24 hours) and asked me some questions about the issue, immediately sent me a replacement along with an additional wristband, and a pre paid return package for the one that wasn't fitting. They were so nice and helpful. The Minimax is fun to use once you understand how the prompts/commands move through the screen. Gymboss has instructions on their website that are very helpful. If you have multiple or complex interval activities the Minimax is a great buy.

GYMBOSS GREAT!! - CASE CHANGE COULD MAKE IT 5 STAR +
My wife is taking a lot of different prescriptions now. Some make her so sleepy that she does not wake up when she needs to urinate. I found that other timers with beeps only did not wake her up to go to the restroom. i set the GYMBOSS for repeating intervals of 90 minutes. She wakes up on the first 9 sec alarm and is in the bathroom by the third 9 second repeat alarm. Great!!! The vibration with the loud beep does the trick. My concern is she sometimes bumps the on/off button accidentally in her sleep and turns the alarm off. The on/off button should not be so high from the case. The outside surface of the on/off button should be sunk into the case so that it is flush with the case. This would prevent one from accidentally turning the PEECLOCK (We call it) off.

Not sure ...difficult to figure out
Looks like has a lot of potential but definitely difficult to set up or even turn off. Ive had to go online to read more directions and even to figure out how to turn it off.
