Quiet, efficient and reliable cooler
I got lucky and purchased the 1/10HP version at a substantially lower price, new product. I use this to chill a 5 gallon container (May upgrade to 8 or 10 gal) I fill with spring water and is right next to my dining table, centralized for drinking water, cooking, K-cup and espresso coffee and occasionally fill the cats water fall bowl. I also blast it with UV to keep any bacteria from forming. I was honestly expecting this cooler to be much noisier, surprisingly it is very quiet, my small fan and AC are much louder, can barely hear it and I have great hearing. I would hardly know it was running if not for the LED display. I control it with a separate temp sensor switch at the bottom of the water tank and use a small 158 gph 12 volt pump I purchased to circulate the water. The titanium evaporator is safe for drinking water, as titanium is also used in the food industry, I made sure of that. Once I got everything tuned it, it works absolutely perfect. I brought a 75 degree tank down to 55 degrees F. in no time at all and for a one time test I had it down to 36 degrees, but the condensation on the tank and hoses was way to much lol. Normally I keep it down to 50 just on hot days. After my tour in Iraq, I promised myself I'd never drink water over 90 degrees again! This is just a fun project and a treat for me. Also for the device being such a low wattage/amps, this device can be operated off a small 1-1500 watt gas generator, if needed during a power outage. I still have yet to test that side outlet which I am guessing is to control an external water heater using the internal temp sensor of the Vevor. So far I love this cooler, just the right size too. Haven't had any leaks or unusual odors and the water tastes just fine, before and after cooling. Be aware behind the device does get up into the 90+ degrees range when operating. That's what you get when your trying to cool 80 degree fluids down to 45, just like all other fridge compressors. Also just a heads up, when you get the cooler in its final work space, make sure its level and let it sit for a couple hours before turning it on. Gives the fluids time to settle back down after all the moving around. Do the same for all refrigerant devices. There is also a little water left over in the system from there device testing, so you can also flush the device out for a few minutes using there pump and a bucket of clean water, but I don't see any concerns. Its easy to set up and easy to use. If you have any shedding pets, be sure and check the front filter screen more often than usual if placed on the floor, or raise it up a couple feet. There are a few videos on You Tube for more information if needed, but feel free to ask and I will do my best to give a proper answer. Happy cooling!

Great chiller = Happy axolotls!
The media could not be loaded. I own three Vevor chillers and I’m super pleased with them! When it kicks on, it’s surprisingly quiet and it does an excellent job of maintaining the temperature in the tank. It was super easy to set up. I choose not to use the pump that it came with; instead, I routed the inflow to the canister filter, then the canister filter’s outflow to the chiller’s inflow, and finally the chiller’s outflow into the tank. It works perfectly! My axolotls are always active and happy… and that’s in part due to being able to sustain a constant temperature for them. You could spend more on a chiller, but why? This is quality at a reasonable price. Don’t wait… buy one now! Your axolotls or fishies will thank you.

works pretty good! but...
Seems to work well to cool down our plunge bath. Its a little bit noisy, but not horrible. It also does put out a lot of heat, which is expected when you have a heat exchange like this. However, my main concern is 1. the external circulation pump does not have a 3 wire (ground) main electrical wire, and this is dangerous to be putting into water! May not be approved for under water use.2. It does not have a plug at the chiller unit, so I had to plug the pump into an additional socket. (it did however have a socket for a heater!)3. The pump has a flimsy adapter on the front of the impeller unit and really should have some kind of filter on this so as to not suck debris into the impeller.

Worth what you pay!
Product does great at chilling my axolotls temporary tub. I do recommend testing the pump it comes with without your animal in the tank, it is powerful and I ended up attaching a MUCH smaller pump. (5-10 gallon) and it works perfect. I’d only use the one it came with if you actually have a 50 gallon tank. Easy use when setting up, and I was worried about the noise since other reviews say it is loud but it’s perfectly fine to me! Quieter than my AC! Turns off automatically when the correct temps are matched, honestly super happy with my purchase!

Did not work
I dunno man, i set it up perfectly, following instructions and like 2 youtube videos trying to make sure it was put together correctly and it just did not work. Didn’t suck up water or spit any out. made a whole lot of noises and didn’t do anything. Overall bad.

Great chiller !
Hello,I have this chiller for a 40g breeder tank that needs to be kept at 64 degrees and it does the job perfectly! I cut the tubes to avoid the pump working harder than it needs to and the noise is barely there. All and all i highly recommend this chiller and it is such a great price !

Quiet
Cooler is quiet and keeps water cool. It has been in my possession for a couple months. So far I have no complaints; easy to assemble, easy to run, easy to keep up with. And most importantly IT IS QUIET

Works
After reading some reviews I was worried about this chiller. People said it was loud, and the water pump broke after a month of use.My experience so far (2 weeks in) has been great. The chiller is very quiet, and is easy to setup. Simple to program. All parts were in the package. The only con I could find was that the water pump has a 2 prong plug and has no ground wire.Update: water pump died after 1 month of use.

Good chiller very loud
This is a great chiller for keeping the tank cool only issue is it is very loud when it is chilling the water and does produce lots of heat. Make sure it is well ventilated. Easy to adjust the temperature and easy to hook up to your tank
