Great show

First time I had ever watched this I use to hear allot about it when it first came out years ago. But really glad I bought it me and my wife are on the 5th series at the moment and we are enjoying it

The box set itself is fine, though it doesn’t feel particularly premium, which is what I was expecting for a collector’s edition.The set is numbered as per the description on Amazon, it’s just that the numbering is hidden under the piece of paper that’s stuck to the outside of the box.The show itself is good, though it definitely goes through peaks and troughs in terms of quality, but that’s kind of inevitable given its length!Delivery from Amazon was rubbish. Two corners of the blu ray box were bashed, and the slipcase housing the book was also damaged. Irritatingly, as it’s limited edition, I can’t request a replacement as the only copies available on Amazon now are ones being sold by unscrupulous scalpers! Maybe Amazon should consider using bubble wrap for pricey items like this rather than trusting to luck…I’d give the set 3 or 4 stars but it gets marked down for Amazon’s shoddy service.

Well I recieved my copy and over all I am happy with it and I found out something cool you can do with it as well. The discs are stacked up on top of each other and each section can hold up to 4 disc's. In the 7-11 case I moved up all the discs and I have 4 spare sections so you can put 16 more discs inside. So all the new The Walking Dead mini series there doing now you can put inside this boxset to make it properly complete which I think is quite cool. I do love the wrap around artwork on the box and the artwork on the 2 big cases which show off every character which looks very nice. The hardback picture book is gorgeous and of very good quality. You get a hologram numbered sticker on the bottom of the box showing you your limited edition number. So over all its a very nice looking set and it doesn't take to much room up on the shelf. For a limited collectors edition it's just ok it could of been a lot better compare to sets like the Breaking Bad barrel or the Game Of Thrones Limited Collectors Set its no way as nice or premium as those which is a shame as this show deserves a collectors set as premium as those as why I have given this set 4 stars.

I've enjoyed watching the show when it was shown on TV so getting the box set was the next step. The EFX are astounding & having the disks showing how this was all achieved is fantastic. Wish I could have went to zombie school LoL!!!!

Going against the grain here of other reviewers somewhat, I feel. Firstly, the price is really good: £110 for all 11 seasons is just £10 per season, with an average of 16 episodes per season, plus extras. Additionally, you get a box and a book in a slipcase to display too.I feel that whilst the price is undoubtedly cheap, so is the packaging and all else here. The boxes to hold the discs are designed in such a way that it's impossible to remove the discs without getting your fingerprints al over them, and they are amongst the thinnest discs I've ever seen/held. This doesn't feel like a set designed to be watched over and over again. The plastic boxes themselves are also the cheapest version of boxes to get a job done that you can buy.The artwork across the two boxes is identical, which is a shame, but obviously cheaper than paying for a second one. The book itself flatters to deceive: the promotional images make it look bigger than it is and the content is nothing but selected images from each season, in order. There's no commentary or insight offered here, of any sort, and the graphic artwork used to illustrate the book in the ad picture simply doesn't exist in it. I have to admit, I was expecting comparisons from the graphic novel version to the tv version plus commentary, based on the pictures and accompanying text promoting this edition. So if a book of pictures without any context is your thing, here it is. If this were a picture gallery, one for each season on the disc, it'd be a watch once for the two minutes it ran feature at the bottom of the feature list. The build quality of the book, and it's slipcase, are both of above-average quality for this type of product.Finaly, I note that (so far) having watched up to midway in Season 4, we're missing the commentaries, 5 I think, for season 2 entirely. And whoever thought that putting 6 episodes on 1 disc, 7 on another for season 2, and then giving one whole disc for the feeble 1 hour and a half roughly not very good video extras, needs to have their head examined. On the one hand really cheap to cram all the episodes like that, on the other, then spend the money for an extra disc only to use it for just up to 90 minutes or so of extras. And as I say, we lost the commentaries for season 2, presumably for reasons of space, in order for the production company to wrong-headedly cheap out and save on a single extra disc per set, or more intelligently disperse the extras across the 3 total discs in order to allow either the episodes space to breathe or to include the commentaries too.In conclusion then, cheap as a box set, but cheap as a product too. It still remains for these publishing houses to understand that for the dedicated fans to whom these sort of things are made (1200 copies only worldwide), you need to go upmarket in production and content, not down, even where that sends the price up. The fanatics will pay, every time. People like the stuff they love to get the best presentation possible of it.I still say thanks for a great price for the content we get, but I would have paid more for a better presentation.

The entire TV itself was one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. The boxset is a chunky one which holds all seasons of the show, plus a photo book. This consists of the cast, characters and events which happen within the to show (This is not an art book). The definition and quality of the video from the discs is fantastic. The show has it’s ups and downs, but it will probably go down in history as one of the best zombie shows of all time. The universe is still getting added to and this boxset let’s me have a piece of that history. Superb job!
