This has turned out to be one of the most useful purchases I have made. A 360 camera is like having a multicamera film crew in your pocket...or like having one of those cranes that carries a film camera, which can be pointed in any direction, but this camera points in ALL directions at once.If you had unlimited cash and reckless abandon, you could hit the record button on this camera, chuck it across a field, and have a perfectly stable shot focused on whatever you want, if your SD card survives the aftermath..lol. The image stabilization works the same way YouTube videos can be optionally stabilized after you upload footage to the site...the software zooms in on your subject, creating a cropped image, and eliminates all jiggling that way. However, since this camera films everything around it at once, there is unlimited area for the software to zoom, resulting it completely stable footage in any direction, on any subject captured by the 2 lenses.Since each lens actually captures WIDER than 180 degrees (the area captured by each lens overlaps), the software is able to remove the selfie stick at the bottom, if you choose to frame the your shot focusing on yourself. This allows you to create footage that looks as if it is being shot from a drone following you (if you're clever and hold the stick in the right way).To frame your footage on what you want your video to be focused, you can use either the PC/mac software, or the phone app. Since your phone has accelerometers, you can play your footage back on the app while orienting your phone as you would your head when you look around at things, and focus on whatever you want after the fact. On the computer software, you simply drag the view to what you want to see in the shot, right-click to add a keyframe, and repeat. The software then transitions the view to whatever you designate as a keyframe as the video plays back.I regret not getting one of these ages ago!

I'm having a blast recording with this. However under higher speeds you do pick up a LOT of wind noise. But that's to be expected. I think I may upgrade to the newer model soon considering this has been so good to me.

I have been using this x360 camera for some months and I have not found any issues.

If you would like to have pleasure from vacation, and not spend hours editing, do not buy this camera.I have 4 action main cameras GoPro 10, Action 4, Osmo1, Akaso X50 Pro, and two others.No one of these cameras took me so much time to create basic videos from vacation. I know, 360, etc...But finally, you will have MP4 regular video, which will cost you 3 - 4 times more time to make it! If you need 360 turn around with your GoPro or Action4!!The quality of the video in the moments of the day when the light is most interesting, early evening, sunset, sunrise, or inside the building is very poor. You can improve slightly the video quality by always changing the numbers, but this is annoying.Yes, some fancy options are unique, but spending hours on editing is not worth it. All pictures are deformed.After 2 monthsCamera and Insta360 Studio 5.0.0 - this is the most irritating camera I ever had. New Insta360 Studio 5.0.0 makes editing so time-consuming that this is a disaster. You can not keep the old version of Insta360 Studio, it automatically upgrades to 5.0.0I have a pretty new computer which works well with all new programs but not with 5.0.0. I will stop using this camera and I will return it if I know that this is so stressful. But is too late. DO NOT BUY IT. This is not a pleasure.But, I changed my mind....After 14 monthsIt took me a long time to learn how to work with this camera, but after spending many hours of filming and watching tons of YouTube videos about it, I was able to enjoy this product. Now, when I use my Action 4 or AcePro, I am looking for something that was on the side or on the back of me. I changed my opinion about the camera, it is a fantastic product, but for a much younger generation (I am over 70), I got a lot of videos from my trips to Europe, and any other camera will give so many options to make the videos so interesting. But the quality of the videos, especially when it is necessary to use a zoom, is very poor. Editing is, unfortunately, really time-consuming,I just sold my X3..... because I bought an X5, I can not go for the next trip without a 360-degree option.I hope that 8K, the low-light option, AI, and the new app will give me a lot of pleasure.
