I bought these with a set of acrylic pens to use as a craft project with the g-kids (11, 7, 5 years old.) They absolutely loved it! So did I! We have now made quite a few, and we still have many left. They have taken all of theirs home and put them in their garden. Even if not painted, these would be great in a pot or in a garden. The rocks are somewhat smooth and all different shapes and sizes. Very happy with them!

I bought these rocks to decorate with acrylic pens - for 4 classrooms. The rocks are smooth and not dusty. They are flat and mostly oval. There is some variance in SIZE or width (as described). I must say, that the kids truly enjoyed the peace rocks project. They look lovely in the school garden area. If I choose to do this project again next year, I will not hesitate to purchase this product again. I would probably buy as few extra, however, only because the kids want the largest rocks only.

These rocks were used in a library rock painting program. The rocks are similar in size and very smooth. We used them with paint pens. Kids and adults enjoyed painting. We went through 2 boxes of these rocks. I never thought we would be ordering rocks on Amazon, but we will use these again next year.
