Does it float? Lost mine out at sea kite surfing. Dreaming of seing washed ashore one day????

It may sink with the camera attached, but otherwise yes it’s aweome!

has anyone used this to make videos of their guitar playing ?

When the camera is mounted the unit becomes terribly imbalanced. So if you anticipate bowing your head it may be a poor choice. (if you are playing live and moving around a lot, then definitely not)

Will this work on roller coasters?

It would "work" but I would not trust it to not fly off.

Can I use this with the camera in a waterproof housing?

Sure, as long as the camera's waterproof housing has standard GoPro-style Fingers.
