LOOYARMedieval Crusader Kite Shield for Knight Soldier Warrior Costume Battle Play Halloween Cosplay LARP

This is a very well made crusader shield with historically accurate appearance and high quality construction (made of a durable polyurethane foam material). I personally love the weathered, battle damaged appearance which really adds to the realism. One thing to note is that this shield is quite large, being an apparent reproduction of the "kite shield" design popular in medieval Europe. Holding it in front of you, it provides almost as much protection as a modern "riot-shield" (depending on your height).The shield includes a really sturdy grip-handle (which feels great in-hand) as well as two thin leather support straps (which provide additional support from your upper arm).Overall: This is very well made piece that can definitely take some live action combat hits from similar prop style weapons. Highly recommended as either a display piece or for costume/LARP gaming, would also make great theater props. 5-stars!

The design photographs well, but it looks even better in person. My son loves it and is ready for the next Ren Faire. The material is mildly squishy like Nerf, which make it perfect for mock battles, while still being hefty and strong which could actually deflect serious blows. The only thing that could be better, would be of there was a an easier way to carry it when not actively being held or in-use, perhaps mounting points for shoulder straps? Overall it's a great medieval prop, that is fully decorated on both sides.

We participate in some medieval reenactments. This shield is pretty cool. It is as pictured and has some "battle damage" on it. It is however quite heavy. Also I was hoping we could use it in our mock battles. However due to the weight and we use rubber coated steel rod weapons vs foam- I don't feel it would hold up well.

This was a Christmas present for my son. The straps broke off one minute after use. He was terribly dissapointed. We tried using duct tape to fix them and the tape pulled the paint off. This is a poor quality item.

The leather strap detached as soon as I picked it up. The straps are help together with short screws driven into foam and all together would not hold up long against any kind of sparring. The packaging was fairly bruised and poorly wrapped. The shield is almost entirely made of foam, (heavier foam yes), and definitely not worth 110 USD, though it is worth noting the make of the shield in terms of looks is pretty thorough if you wanted this for a cosplay or Halloween party.

Really nice shield and great for cosplay or LARP. Well crafted and light weight, paint job is decent. Not something that can be easily hung on a wall though.

This shield is accurate and cool. I'm impressed with the attention to detail and could see it used as decor, cos play, or fun larping in the park.
