I needed a rug for the other half of my new home office and was reluctant to shop online. It’s nearly impossible to determine color that way, and I needed the rug to go well with everything else in the room. Not easy, and I suppose I’d have been better off moving the existing rug out and finding something that filled the room, rather than trying to mix and match. But the price was right, so I gave it a try.I do like the rug, although the green is more noticeable than the photos suggest, so I’m attaching a picture to give folks a better idea of what it looks like laid out. This is actually a good thing, because I spilled a bit of soil and plant water on it ten minutes after laying it down, and it’s not as noticeable as I feared. I’ll wait until it dries before dealing with the bits of soil so it doesn’t smear into the carpet fibers.I don’t think I’ll need a carpet pad, or even an anti-slip mat in this location. For $157 and tax, I’m pleased with this purchase, even though it’s not really what I was after when I started looking. I’m not the sort of person who should own a white carpet. However, I do like how it reflects the light as this is a small room. Having a lighter carpet in half makes it feel open and airy. So thank goodness the green is more noticeable, because it will help hide the inevitable spills.Until the day I spill ketchup.
