Disc14222 Plate Hanger 1 1/4" (30mm), Yellow

I bought these as 'backup' hooks for plates that already have hooks attached, in the event they fail (attach string to the second hook and loop around the wall hook). As such they're not currently taking any weight but I have to say, as far as I can see, they're very strong. Make sure you select a hook size appropriate to the plate involved.

The product is perfect, just what I needed and so simple to use. However the postage cost me a fortune. Not worth it for that. I blame Amazon for this one. 2nd class postage for something from England that is the size of a coin and feather light should not have cost me the best part of €10. Shame on you Amazon for hiking postage from the UK to Ireland up.

I wouldn’t recommend as it doesn’t stick.

Followed the instructions to the Tee. But the disc did not stick to the plate. Maybe mine was faulty.

I used this to hang three decorative tiles on my wall. It is easy to use and feels very secure. It is also nearly invisible behind the tile, they hang very close to the wall still. I'm buying more!

(2016) Update. Any worry has long gone away. Plates have never come loose or fallen in 4 years. Including the large 17in round platter.I purchased a UK-made knockoff of these and the capacity was 1/4 of this version. They looked identical, slightly higher price because I was at the pircy Container Store. Realizing that even the biggest couldn't hold any of my stoneware plates I ordered these immediately. They're quite simple to use. You when the back and massage the water in to activate the glue. Let sit for 5 minutes then press onto the back of a clean and completely dry plate or bowl. It adheres to both glazed and unglazed surfaces. Let dry overnight (I waited 24 hours), longer with damper conditions. As the moisture evaporates the glue forms the seal. I will admit that hanging these heavy plates make me nervous, but the seal seems quite good.You soak the plate to loosen.
