I bought this radio as was looking for a license-free radio, it's really good for the price, and it goes up to 3 miles in communication depending on buildings and signal output/receive; I brought to, them I gave them to my mum and the so her and the little one can talk and i brought another two as I got asked by the little one. But I've restricted the channels. Good radios for price, as I listen to my music and sometimes don't hear my mum shouting. Read the following features below what my knowledge is so far: Panic alarm: The panic alarm is good, but when on broadcast alarm it should only be pressed in emergencies only, if testing put a message out that's its only a test, the local alarm is good for when your out to alert those around you. The panic alarm can be turned off if you are going to give this to a 8+ year old. And you can restrict this to a channel and DCS/CTC code, and you can lock it to prevent any incidents Flashlight: The flashlight has a standard one (still) and a flashing one (strobe) the strobe flashlight is to indicate for help when needed when in a team etc. Dw duel watch: whiching between two channels, one for team communication and one for private calls. Call tones: 10 call tones, good to get different tones for different radios so you know who wants to talk, and it will call those on the channel, if where one is restricted to a certain channel it won't hear the conversation or call tone: Weather resistance: It does have some weather resistent but its unknown what IP** rating it has at this point, my knowledge and guess would be IP65 resistant, 6 star resistance from dust, and 5 star from rainfall, which is equivalent to normal rain fall, but if it breaks, then the second digit wil go down, but from this point the radios maybe IP65 resistant if the hear peace port of covered, (test it at your own risk though), I have tested it in the light rain and near to heavy and it with hold and still works. Sadly the NOAA weather band doesn't work. Scan channels: Scan channel to see the better one to communicate on within a team or for home communication for family and team work etc. Battery life: The battery lasts 12+ hours depending on the use throughout the day and how old the battery is. Fully charged within 3/4hours depending on battery usage output power is 3.7v which comes under licence free, anywhere over 5.0v with over the 16 channels then lisance may be required. Can this pick up other operators: “yes” depending on the Channel and DCS/CTC code you use. Put a message out on the channel your using to see if its free to use, be aware that licenced amateur radio operators will be able to pick up the frequency; to avoid use the CTC/DCS codes. Regulations and rules in public: This radio is apart of the PMR446 frequency band which is good as the is no fees to communicate, as regulations was brought out and now the is up to 16 channels where they are licenced free. Rules: If for personal use, and family communication you can use them in public, but restrictions may apply in buildings such as shops, Venus and more, but check and see if they have any rules for use within those buildings. Work purposes: Can be used for work purposes with no fees or registration of use has they operate on the PMR446 frequency band, good for gardeners or solo team builders etc. Apart from all of the amazing features that this has, I'm very happy with this radio; good for money worth for beginners and anyone who doesn't want to spend money on getting a licenses etc. Its also good to communicate to your next-door neighbour or anyone who you talk to within a 3-mile radius, keep in mind signal may be weak as it has to travel through walls etc. But I would recommend on getting this radio.

Very great and clear. I used it out of Europe and it worked perfectly. In between rooms, it worked. Once or twice, interferences do enter but it is just perfect. compact and handy. It dropped few times but I picked it up and it never cried, it carried on. Negative bit. It has no volume locker so the volume could accidentally turn low without you noticing.

Arrived as expected, good quality package. The radios are quite basic and easy to use, good built quality. I was quite impressed with the range despite we had some densely built up environment around us. The accessories look a bit flimsy - the ear piece looks cheap as chips and low quality but it works surprisingly well. It's so easy to use my 6 year old son managed to pick up the button and menu settings fast but there's some clever settings and functions there for pro use. Overall I'm very happy with the product for this price range. The plus - the range seems to fit for the purpose I purchased the item for, good built quality, easy to use so I can distribute the radio to anyone with no skills. The minus - disposable battery what you can only charge from the station provided. No direct charge of the battery, no single battery charge option. Also I doubt it's as weather proof as you expect to be. If you dunk into mud while outdoors this thing needs to be saved.

Purchased this set of radios for work, good loud clear sound, good battery life, would easily last a whole 12hr shift. The range is good outdoors and the overall design seems much more robust then previous models of this brand and the 16 channels are very good especially in areas of heavy radio traffic increasing the chances of finding a channel not being used by other nearby sites using older pmr radio sets that only have 8 channels. There are some downsides but nothing you wouldn't expect for radios in this price range such as interference from WiFi networks and radio key fobs in close proximity and reception inside buildings when receiving signals from outside the buildings can sometimes be a bit unclear due to noise but overall a good set of radios for the money.

Great handset, used in a Factory and so far its working out well.

I am super happy with these radios, I was a little worried at first thinking they wouldn’t be good for what I need them for but I tell you now I was completely wrong. These are honestly the best radios I have seen for such an easy price, the distance is what it says if not more and the battery life is better! I haven’t had to charge them since use because of how good it is. They have private channels which aren’t that hard to setup too. Would 100% recomend!

Nice, robust radios. Work well, but the buttons could be better organised. Difficult to understand which you press to talk and which you press to call.

Good quality

General feel is pretty good. Not like a cheap toy, but actually pretty well built for the price. Tested at almost 2km distance, with no clear line of sight. Many houses and some terrain between 2 devices - still worked pretty well. Easy to use, nice additional equipment (headsets, desk chargers), and a possibility to charge the batteries directly via USB-c. All together very good set for a more than reasonable price. Delivery on time, everything arrived in perfect condition.
