- Japan movement, China band- Water resistant "3 BAR"- Safety strap w/buttons type claspI would not call this unisex. It's not humungous but it's pretty huge. Pretty thick and big round dial. The band is also thick and heavy.Having said that, wear whatever watch you want and stop paying attention to labels and classifications from manufacturers.I don't often think of this brand as 'clever design'. It's always just the use of the brand name, and way overused, but no actual creativeness.In this case, however, I thought it was rather clever to use the minute slashes to spell the C of the brand, and use the whole brand name to break the minutes so those looked like the C. Uh, if that makes sense. Anyway, a surprising bit of design cleverness from this brand.The price is still ridiculous. It's just a watch, nothing special, except the brand name, which is far from special, after so much overuse. That part's up to you, though, I don't have to mess with it.So. Uncommonly creative face, totally seen-one-you've-seen-them-all band. I happen to love silver tone things so I think it looks good on him. He says he likes that it's not quite as thick as current trend is... "chunky but not so much I need to lift weights to wear it" were his words.It's also completely quiet, as far as I can tell.
