Perfect replacement for my lost key FOB, looks and feels new. Arrived fast. Just make sure numbers matches with your current FOB or it will not work.

Matching numbers doesn't always work
Just left the locksmith and they scanned the old key for it's code to start the vehicle and got it. The new key was left unprogrammed and unable to start with the software he had without going to the dealership. He was able to program the fob part so I can lock and unlock my doors now after the original key went through the washer. Happily the 50% of this order I wanted to work did. Unfortunate I don't have a spare key still...

CAN'T be programmed.
I spent an hour at a legitimate locksmith with the legitimate tech required to program this key. Can't be done. The key can be cut and you can get it to open and close your doors, but it will not start a car with an IMMO (year 2000 and upwards).... meaning, as far as I know, any Jetta made in the last 24 years will not accept this key.

Be careful when buying these
Though they are made for a MK6, the codes in the FOB will mot match your vehicle. Make sure you have the corresponding codes with your vehicle when buying FOBs. It still cost me $400 to buy another one.
