I was looking for a more eco-friendly option than using another plastic seed tray that inevitably ends up cracking and breaking. These were so perfect, and I love that they are reusable, flexible, and easy to pop the seedlings out! They were also easy to clean with a brush & save for next season. They also conveniently fit nicely into the large seed trays.

These seedling starter pots are fantastic. I have been using those ubiquitously available cheap, weak plastic starter pots and trays for years. But these are far superior and will last for years. I use Rapid Rooter starter plugs and they fit perfectly into these pots. Popping seedlings out for up potting or transplanting is super easy. Just apply a little pressure to the silicone bottom and the seedlings almost jump out. Roots don’t cling to them. The combination of silicone bottoms and a more rigid plastic top makes these very durable and easy to clean after use. I haven’t tried yet, but I’m thinking they will clean up real nice in the dishwasher, something never to be tried with typical, cheaper, flimsy plastic alternatives. I got these at a good price, and although I see the price has since slightly increased, I would not hesitate to buy them again.

These feel well made compared to traditional black plastic seed starting. These Silicone Seedling Starter Trays allow easy removal of seedling from the tray without damaging the cell/plug your trying to remove. These trays should last many years. They are some what similar to Burpee’s silicone starter trays.

I started this years garden in these containers. Very easy to use and store. After the plants got about an inch tall I transferred them to taller containers. The seedlings were easy to pop out without damaging the roots. Clean up and storage easy.

So I purchased these instead of my recycled ones I buy every year. My thoughts are by it once, take care of it and use it forever.So I haven't had these very long, just long enough to start my quick germination stuff in. My slower growers like peppers, tomatoes and herbs are still in these. My opinion so far is that these are great. My melon, squash and cucumber seeds don't need long in these pots. Our weather was wonkyso I didn't direct sow these this year but, they have me a chance to see how well the cells would work.The seedlings were ready to transplant, in one tray I had mixed seedlings, some needed to stay in the tray longer, some I needed to take out. I easily popped out the ready to transplant ones and the not ready ones were not disturbed at all. That's much trickier with regular trays.The soft silicone was supportive, the roots looked amazing, my other seedlings were thrilled to not be bothered.I'm hoping these remain in great shape for seasons to come. I intend to wash with soap and water to remove all soil (which you should do with any tray you plan to reuse), dry and store after all seedlings are transplanted. I will break these back out for next season. I plant 3 seasons per year so even one year of use I should begin to have a good idea of how these will last.I will update this if I find problems.Note: I'm writing this review in May of 2023.

I bought several different types of reusable seed starting trays to test out and these are the winner. These produced the strongest seedlings, were the easiest to fill with soil, fit a 1020 flat and the seedlings popped out without any root damage.

The seed starter trays are great. They are easy to remove the plants without messing up the roots. The trays are easy to clean, just rinse off the extra dirt. They also fit on the heating pad perfectly and watering from the bottom is a breeze. A person who has problems using their hands will find that these trays are perfect for growing plants because they are easier to handle than the large seed trays and make removing the plants faster for transplanting.

I really enjoyed using these for my seeds this season. It’s super sturdy and it made planting a breeze! Definitely make sure you have a tray or something underneath for watering because the drainage holes are kind of big and a lot of soil will escape over time.
