Why did you pick this product vs others?:I’m very pleased by the results of this product. I had a scoby within a week and was drinking kombucha in less than two weeks. The recent very warm weather helped tremendously. The packaging specifically mentioned the importance of warm environment.

I have made my 10th batch now. It was a great starter, I highly recommend. I found the instructions vert clear and written in a simple way. It is a great substitute for shop bought kombucha.

It seems very weak. It’s been three weeks since I started my brew. I don’t think it was fresh. Unfortunately, I didn’t check the expiration date.Meanwhile, I got tired of waiting for results, so I created my own scoby in a separate bottle with raw GT’s Synergy kombucha from the grocery store. It has already created a healthy large pellicle, and I am on my second batch of Kombucha.

Culture is active and already forming a pellicle after 4 days of brewing. The brew tastes good!

I am very pleased with this scoby. I've made a couple of batches now since I got it and they have turned out very well. In the past I've made my own but was impatient this time. I'm happy I did. I only make 1/2 gallon at a time and this came very well packaged with plenty of starter tea. I'm not sure of the health benefits in my case but I do love kombucha. I add fresh fruit to the 2nd ferment and get plenty of carbonation. Yum!

It was small but active and I've made several good batches of kombucha.

10/10 I’ve had it for awhile and made many a batch and I’ve even made my own before but this is so much easier. A good size for most jars too.
