Unreliable
I have extremely thick hair with too much volume. It's curly underneath, and straight on the top. I like the width of the plate, and don't find the dryer heavy to operate. There is a learning curve, but it's not steep. I find this to be the most efficient tool I have ever used on my hair. Contrary to what the directions indicate, it's not timely to dry one section, switch to the smoothing section, and then switch back to drying the hair. It takes a good 3 minutes. I sent the tool back to GHD and after they "repaired" my expensive new tool of 2 weeks, then sent it back with the delay. EDIT: I have a lemon. At my own expense I returned it to GHD. They sent it back, supposedly repaired. I have since used it twice. Today, my third time, I got a flashing red light. It is hard to believe, but for $350, this product has a 30 day return period. Totally sucks.

Por el precio vale la pena
Bastante funcional, me gusta el hagarre que tiene, simplemente me fascina, compre el color blanco y me encanta.

I wanted to like this so much, but ...
I love the concept of this. Flat iron + blow dryer. Perfect for someone like me with thick, wavy, keratin treated hair. And with 6-7 passes I do get straight hair. But I have A LOT of hair and with you having to do small sections, slowly, to get beautiful straight results, it would just take hours. I returned this and opted for a Shark Flex Style which has me completely dry in 25 minutes. (Even I was shocked by this.) Back to the GHD Duet Style, for those of us ladies with fine to medium hair, I think it will be a lifesaver. And I do like the results, it just takes way too long for me to dry my hair. It is well made and works great. So for the right hair type, you will love it.One more thing, I do wish you could change the heat settings and speed. I saw you can do this on the Dyson Air straight and maybe it makes the difference.

It works on natural hair!
I have 3c/4a curly/coily hair. I used this for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised. I was able to blow dry & get my hair silky straight and it was shiny. It took around 1 hour for the whole process since I needed to get use to the product and wasn't hard for me to use if you actually follow instructions. I'm so happy I went with my gut and bought it instead of reading reviews. It worked so well....I currently have a revair but it isn't good for travel, I needed something that would be and this fit the bill perfectly. The price is high but it's worth it. Best decision I made...

Not worth it for me
I think the value of this depends on what type of hair you have. I have medium length, naturally straight hair. I normally use a straightener to curl my hair after it is dry in the morning. I thought I could use this to both dry and curl my hair at the same time, but it did not work out for me. I cannot use this to curl my hair like I can a normal straightener. I can get a tiny curve at the ends, but that’s it. It does work to dry my hair, but for my straight hair, I think a normal blow dryer is faster and just as effective. I’m sure this is a lifesaver for some people, but for me, it is not worth the money.

"But not for me..."
Perhaps I have the wrong hair for this product, but it definitely was a fail for me. I have baby fine hair and so getting it properly into the wide clamps was an effort, and while it did dry quickly it left my hair with no body. Perhaps with thicker hair with some body it would work better. For me, using a hair dryer brush leaves my hair with much more body and smoother than this. The shine shot mode did not leave my hair as silky/shiny as my existing flat iron, and my hair actually looked healthier with it than this. Also it's heavy and clunky to use. I tried it a second time to see if it was just my inexperience but my hair still looked dead and lifeless so I returned it.
