Works great
I have been using this for years. I have a 2008 Honda pilot that needs a new catalytic converter. The duralube catalytic converter cleaner has worked every time. Within a week the check engine light goes out. I have sometimes needed to put this in 2x but it always works

It works for me
2009 Honda Accord Coupe 4 cylindersPer my research, if your car smells funny, this item wont work. If your car still runs smooth but having an engine light on for catalytic converter and a bad mileage, this item is for you to try.A few months ago, my car's engine light was on, code P0420, 130k miles. It can be a different code for your car, but a simple trip to O'Reilly to borrow a scanner showed code P0420 means catalytic converter isnt working properly. The nearest repair shop quoted me a 1k1 offer, which left me nothing but despair. After researched through my not-so-trusted friend, Google, I bought 2 of these. I ran the entire first bottle to a full gas tank. The mileage was restore to regular, the engine light was off the second half of the tank but eventually got back on again. I ran the next gas tank without any addictive, to make sure the first bottle was gone-gone. I emptied the second bottle to the third full gas tank. Bump, after 200 miles or so, no more engine light. I write this review a few months later, at 140k miles, and the engine light is still off for now. For your information, before the incident, I ran 92 at Costco, for a whole year. Now, 92 at Shell, or Chevron, which costs more. I dont know if gas plays a role in here, but they say all top tier gas is the same. Through my own experience tho, stay away from Arco, they may be cheap, but terrible gas mileage. I have never heard any complaints on Costco gas, but maybe it's just my car's converter has finished its lifetime early.

Worked temporarily -- will use some more and see how it goes
I drive a fairly old Honda Odyssey (2008) with 160+k miles, and have been getting P0430 (bank 2 catalyst below efficiency threshold). This engine has the variable cylinder control (VCM) which is known in some circles to cause a lot of oil consumption, especially on bank 2 cylinders, so I've disabled that feature, but still get the code, as my bank 2 catalyst is probably very very fouled. The bottle says, add 1 ounce per gallon, so I poured the 16 ounce bottle into a partially full gas tank (probably had about 12-16 gallons in there). After 100 miles of driving, the check engine light went away on its own and stayed that way till the end of the tank. Unfortunately, upon refilling the tank with new gas, the engine light came back pretty soon, but the fact that it worked once gave me some hope. Ordered a couple more bottles of this stuff.Prior to this, I've replaced spark plugs, all oxygen sensors, and tried the "LiquiMoly Catalytic Cleaner", which requires you to take apart the air intake and spray it directly into a running engine... which is annoying, and it didn't clear my engine codes permanently either. So, at least this is more user friendly, and I'll give it some more tries.

Must Read
I'm giving this product 5 starts cause it may work for you, but it didn't for me cause my cats were destroyed inside, I had to replace them cause they broke up in pieces & this cleaner would had not worked at all, but FYI i used a back presser exh gauge to test the flow, & that is what told me they were blocked, they were no good, the gauge was only 30 dollars , money well spent ,good luck with yours!

Mixed results. Better options available.
2.5-STARSThis is an UPDATE. I forgot to mention added data. This review is for a diesel truck. This product can be used in both gas and diesel (label instructions). Maybe it works better on gasoline engines. I'm going to bump up 1 STAR from 2-star to 3 star. Initially I got low miles between regens using this product at 282 miles. But I still had 1/2 tank of diesel and Dura Lube in and I was pulling a heavy trailer for last half tank and last 10 grams of soot. I was able to drive 550 miles between next regen interval. That is a 166 mile increase from baseline, a 268 mile increase from first test of this product (282 miles), and a 17 mile increase from Liqui Moly Super Diesel Additive. Just be aware that I was towing with the second results. Towing increases EGTs and helps with longer regen intervals (at least in my case). But then the next refill after with no additive dropped back down to 308 miles, so no long lasting affects. In the end, I probably wouldn't recommend the Dura Lube products, but its your vehicle and money. I would use Cataclean for Catalytic cleaning and Liqui Moly DPF protector and Archoil AR6500 for DPF cleaning. This is a review on Dura Lube Severe Catalytic and Exhaust Treatment. I am giving this product a 2.5/3-star review. I used two, 16 ounce bottles mixed with 34 gallons of fuel. No check engine lights came on. Vehicle showed no adverse affects from additive. Regen mileage interval with NO additives was 384 miles after receiving vehicle from repair shop and vehicle working properly. This product increased regen frequency (not good) from previous additive and increased frequency (not good) from baseline, which suggests that it’s worse than no additive at all. Soot seemed to accumulate faster with this product. This product had a decrease in miles between regen intervals than previous additive (Liqui Moly Super Diesel Additive), and a decrease in mileage from baseline figure. As far as mileage goes, vehicle lost about 0.9mpg average on uphill route(driven 4 times), but remained about the same on downhill route. I did not get any engine error codes while using this product.Mileage between regens decreased from 384 miles (baseline) to 282 miles (-102 mile increase)(bad). The product that I used previously was Liqui Moly Super Diesel Additive.Dura Lube Severe Catalytic and Exhaust Treatment decreased interval miles from previous additive, 533 miles, to 282 miles (-251 miles)(bad)This product did not do my DPF any good. Maybe it cleaned my catalytic and other exhaust components. But soot seemed to accumulate faster with this product in the DPF.When using any DPF cleaner or additive, I would try to incorporate a regen cycle during use and go on longer drives on highway or freeway to increase the EGTs to burn off the soot.Driving Notes:33.5 miles driven during regeneration cyclesSoot down to 0 grams (this is good)EGTs = 598F temperature, normal highway driving (higher temp)EGTs = 727F temperature during regeneration cycle (higher temp)Injection quantity at idle at baseline=9mmInjection quantity at idle after Dura Lube Severe Catalytic and Exhaust Treatment=8mm#1 #2 #3 #4 #5 #6 #7 #8Injector balance at baseline: -0.5, 0.1, -0.2, 0.9, -0.6, -0.1, 0.0, 0.4Injector balance after additive: -0.7, 0.1, -0.2, 0.5, -0.3, 0.2, 0.3, 0.2Less fuel being used at idle.Small decrease in mileage from baseline on uphill route:Increase in regeneration intervals: (not good)From baseline: decreased distance between intervals -102 miles (not good)From previous additive (Liqui Moly Super Diesel Additive):decrease in distance between intervals -251 miles (not good)Injector balance seemed about the same.My review is based on product efficiency, any damages to vehicle, check engine lights turning on or off, ability to clear engine codes (if my vehicle has any check engine lights), increase or decrease in mileage, and increase or decrease in regeneration mileage intervals. I will not use price as a factor. You will have determine if product is worth the cost. These products may or may not save you costly repairs or replacement. I cannot determine if these products can or will damage your vehicle. My vehicle has no check engine light or error codes. My vehicle is in good working order with no current issues during this review. My vehicle has over 200,000 miles. This is a stock vehicle, with a stock (OEM) factory tune installed. Just prior to this test, my truck was not performing a regen cycle. Repairs were done which included a new 9th injector, new DPF pressure monitor. The pressure monitor measures pressure before and after the DPF filter. The difference in pressure allow computer to estimate how much soot has accumulated in the DPF filter. A force regen was also performed on my vehicle and a passive regen performed before I received my vehicle from repair shop. Vehicle is performing as it should.Test drive is relatively the same and consistent. 49.5 miles one way, with a drive time of about 56 minutes. There is a gradual 1129 foot elevation gain one way and 1129 elevation loss the opposite way. There is some surface street driving, some freeway driving, and most of drive is highway.Hope this review helps. I will be writing more reviews on other diesel additives. I have some data from other additives for comparison listed below. Most products seemed to help and a couple seemed to worsened DPF performance during testing. You should not compare the towing data for comparison. I have just added it to show that towing will change data. Towing will increase exhaust gas temperatures and should make the DPF more effective. My regen mileage intervals increased, decreasing regen frequency, while towing. There are many factors that affect the DPF performance. The factors that I noticed (on my vehicle) are outside temperature, humidity, vehicle speed or stop and go traffic(big factor), and EGTs. Lower temperatures decreased DPF performance. Higher humidity decreased DPF performance. Higher outside temperatures and lower humidity seem to increase DPF performance. Higher EGTs such as towing increased DPF performance. Longer driving distance seems helps the DPF filter as optimal temperatures are reached. It seems like soot accumulates faster when the engine and DPF filter are not warm/hot enough, and faster within the first 10-15 miles of travel. If you are only making short trips then the DPF will fill up faster and regens will be more frequent.Regeneration Interval Mileage Comparison of Different Additives:baseline (no additive), 384 miles between regeneration intervalsArchoil AR6200 Fuel Treatment, 391 miles between regeneration intervals,+7 mile increase from baseline, +7 mile increase from previous additive(none, baseline)Wynn’s DPF Regenerator, 462miles between regeneration intervals, +78 mile increase from baseline, +71 mile increase from previous additiveSeafoam (high dose), 504 miles between regeneration intervals, +120 mile increase from baseline, +42 mile increase from previous additiveNitrox Clean Cat Diesel, 324 miles between regeneration intervals, -60 mile decrease from baseline, -180 mile decrease from previous additiveArchoil AR6500 pulling trailer in hot weather (not same comparison) , 1075 miles between regeneration intervals, +691 mile increase from baseline, +751 mile increase from previous additiveNitrox Clean Cat Diesel 2nd try, 402 miles between regeneration intervals, +18 mile increase from baseline, +78 mile increase from previous additive(Nitrox Clean Cat Diesel)Liqui Moly Diesel Purge, 265 miles between regeneration intervals, -119 mile decrease from baseline, -137 mile decrease from previous additiveWynn’s Turbo Cleaner, 298 miles between regeneration intervals, -86 mile decrease from baseline, +33 mile increase from previous additiveRislone Hy-Per Diesel, 323 miles between regeneration intervals, -61 mile decrease from baseline, +25 mile increase from previous additiveRislone DPF Clean, 323 miles between regeneration intervals, -61 mile decrease from baseline, 0 mile difference from previous additiveArchoil AR6500 pulling trailer in hot weather one way, cooler temps coming back(2nd trip, different route) (not same comparison), 680 miles between regeneration intervals, +296 mile increase from baseline, +357 mile increase from previous additiveCataclean, 414 miles between regeneration interval, +30 increase from baseline, +26 mile increase from previous additiveArchoil AR6500 Diesel Treatment, 564 miles between regeneration interval, +180 mile increase from baseline, +150 mile increase from previous additiveArchoil AR6400-D Diesel Fuel System Cleaner, 462 miles between regeneration interval, +78 mile increase from baseline, -102 mile decrease from previous additive Archoil AR6500.Liqui Moly Pro-Line Diesel Cleaner, 444 miles between regeneration interval, +60 mile increase from baseline, -18 mile decrease from previous additive Archoil AR6400-DLiqui Moly Diesel Particulate Filter Protector, 625 miles between regeneration interval, +241 mile increase from baseline, +181 increase from previous additive Liqui Moly Pro-Line Diesel CleanerLiqui Moly Super Diesel Additive, 533 miles between regeneration interval, +149 mile increase from baseline, -92 mile decrease from previous additive Liqui Moly Diesel Particulate Filter ProtectorDura Lube Severe Catalytic and Exhaust Treatment, 282 miles between regeneration interval, -102 mile decrease from baseline, -251 mile decrease from previous additive Liqui Moly Super Diesel AdditiveAC Delco Fuel System Treatment Plus-Diesel, 425 miles between regeneration interval, +41 mile increase from baseline, +143 mile increase from previous additive Dura Lube Severe Catalytic and Exhaust TreatmentDura Lube Diesel DPF and Catalytic Treatment, 360 miles between regeneration interval, -24 mile decrease from baseline, -65 mile decrease from previous additive AC Delco Fuel System Treatment Plus-DieselStar Review Legend1 star: Made check engine light turn on or trigger error code(s)2 star: Causes no check engine warnings and no engine error codes. Works great
This stuff does the trick. It cleared the error code (catalytic converter) I do have to add it every 4/5 tanks if gas.
