Works fine to repair long extension cord. Nothing wrong with it, but its "feel" is lightweight and plasticy compared to the rubberized Leviton it replaced. Of course, it costs half of what the Leviton costs - YGWYPF.The Leviton has been in place for years, it's beaten up, with nicks and cuts, but it has never cracked. I'm used to swinging it around, smacking it into concrete and having it hold up. We'll see how well the cheaper plastic reacts to rough care, over time.

Relatively easy to install as a extension cord socket replacement. Look at the amount of covering you strip ; make sure the casing goes to the clamp on the socket.

Not one to whine, but these connectors are very low quality! OK, I'll throw in that the two I bought were part of bad batch! ( i don't think so) The blades inside the housing that hold the prongs from male plug were not supported and are not thick enough to hold male plug in place! Result: Plug would not stay connected! Very poor construction! I know, I was gonna save a couple of Bucks! Ordered the Leviton (orange) connectors, as being in the Electrical field for years, I knew were excellent connectors, and everything was Rosy! Bottom Line; spend the extra Bucks and get on with the job!
