The best kick drum head ever

Evans EMAD2 heads are great, really easy to tune and bed-in quickly, sound great and last a pretty long time too. I’ve used these for quite a few years now and always been happy, I prefer the sound of the single ply regular EMAD over the EMAD2 but both times I’ve tried the single it has not been durable enough and pitted quite quickly (I’m not exactly gentle) so have to stick with this double ply version which is much stronger but a little less low end and overall volume.

the tone of this skin is perfect for rock and popdefined punchy attack and full deep power that sound amazing when mike’s and going through a big PA with decent subsuse with the evans eq pads to dampen and u have the perfect combinationmy opinion as a pro drummer and music producer this is the King of bass drum skins

The Evans EMAD 2 Clear bass drum head is one of the best drum heads on the market, if not the best.Really nice high attack (thump) and with the dampening rings you can easily get the sound you’re looking for. Came with an EQ patch which preserves the head at least and was an added bonus.This head works well in loud environments mainly but with the 2 ply head gives really good focus and control. A must buy.

These things have transformed the sound of my bass drums. They sounded OK with the stock Remo heads on them but when I put a beater through one, I changed both for these. Wow. More attack, better low end and I can just hear the bass drums better now, which in turn helps me with my playing. Especially when I'm trying to keep up with a 5 foot tall bass amp stack.I prefer the smaller of the damping rings, but everyone will have their view on that. I'd highly recommend these heads though.

This is the best sounding bass drum head out there. I thought I had the sound sussed with the superkick ii for the past ten years but the emad 2 has completely transformed my Mapex saturn 20x18. Perfect punch and nice top end and even better the feel of the beater against the head has that soft feel (the Aquarian lacked this feeling).

I have Always Loved Evans and When it comes to choosing A Batter head for your bass drum i would never Think anything other than using a Emad 2.
