Very effective and look like real boots with the appropriate footwear. Sized for Gentlemen Pirates, but could be adapted for smaller and more dainty legs, or smaller men. Elastic under the top of the boot sorts this out. The best way to wear them is to first attach the shoe to the two elastic straps, then carefully put it on as if it were a complete boot, thus avoiding strain on the stitching as they're only plastic. Or and even easier if you have the right shoes, slip the covers on with one piece of the elastic under the arch of the foot and the other behind the heel and put your shoes on top. Worked for me.In the picture, I think that they're on the wrong legs, as the brass effect buttons should be on the outside. And in common with other reviewers, the plastic buttons are only held on by a couple of threads and will be easily lost. I got a needle and black spot thread from Blind Pugh and strengthened them and all is much more secure. Yar Har!International Talk Like A Pirate Day is on September the 19th.

Look really good, although were quite large around the top. Had to tie the laces around the top of my calf to stop them falling down. Otherwise perfect. Would suggest giving them a day or two laid flat to smooth out any marks from being folded in the packaging.

No issues at all, I used elastic for extra security around my knees, during the function no problem.

Doesn't fit like the picture at all. Pretty useless to be honest, I knew the material wouldn't be great but the size is massive. Nothing to secure to the legs, therefore crumples down around the ankles, too much extra material. Wasn't any point tying up something underneath the actual fold-down as there were massive gaps at the back of the top, making it flap about. I had to dismantle, re-stitch and wear them tucked into wellington boots in the end. Poor effort, this shouldn't be difficult to get right. I would maybe go for a ladies instead as these will only suit XXL and over.

As many others have pointed out, they're just too big and look nothing like they do in the picture.They aren't a good fit and they're oversized, which makes them sag and fall down your leg unless you have extremely muscular or dare I say it, fat legs.

Bought for use on stage in a panto. I am a 6' tall male with size 10-11 feet. These boot covers fit perfectly over a pair of size 10 Grinder / biker style boots (after removing one of the two elastic straps that go under the soles.)I also reinforced the stitching on the elastic and buttons as they seemed a little loose. That done they have held up well to three performances so far, and my pair stayed up my calves, not falling down as some reviews stated. They are also generously fitted around my calves, not the least bit too tight.Highly recommended

These are fab. Really finished off my pirate costume. They are a bit big, so some people may want to use something to hold them up (I just went for the baggy boot look!). Personally, I thought they were great value.

El producto imita unas botas altas. No es piel sino plástico o vinilo, pero da el pego Lo he usado con unos botines de teatro y encaja perfectamente. Tiene unos cordones frontales para ajustarlo. Es similar a otras polainas que he utilizado en escena. Voy a usarlo tanto en performances de bandolero como para Don Juan Tenorio. Satisfecho con el resultado una vez vestido.

un po larghi di gamba quindi tendono a cadere problema che si risolve portandoli dalla sarta non costa molto o meglio alzando il risvolto sopra il ginocchio a seconda di come piace x il resto ottimo il risultato addosso completano il costume sia esso da pirata che da moschettiere nel mio caso non ho riscontrato alcun odore come qualcino ha riferito e se c'era è bastato indossarli un paio di volte durante il carnevale xchè sparisse completamente riposti nell armado non hanno creato problemi

Beim auspacken schlägt einem ein echt bestialischer Gestank entgegen. Also zwei Tage in der Garage ausgelüftet.Die Gamaschen selber sind aber von guter Quallität, sind sehr stabil und sehen super aus. Ich kann sie auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen. Mann sollte halt eine gewisse Zeit zum ausdünsten einplanen.
