Not happy at all and waiting for some
I am giving one star because 4 months after the purchase my CHUWI stopped to work from no apparent reason. Doesn't charge (and tried different chargers). I sent several messages for more than a month to CCShop and Amazon because the item has warranty but nobody replied to me. Because I needed it I bought another item from another brand and now I am waiting for a refund of the Chuwi. Not happy at all and waiting for some news

Good budget Windows tablet but with a terrible WIFI
This tablet is really great value for money. Stylish design, 4MB RAM, good performance and great HD display. My very sore point is the WIFI. It is really handicapped from a signal strength. My way around it was to either be physically close to the access point or else to use an external dongle - usb to ethernet or usb wifi.If you can live with this limitation go ahead huy it, otherwise grow your budget and get a Surface instead.Gordon

WiFi mediocre, mostly great
Like some of the other reviewers, I had difficulty getting it to stay connected to a WiFi signal which my other devices all use without issue.I then downloaded a WiFi spectrum analyser app for my phone and saw there were two other WiFi networks nearby on the same channel. I went into my router's settings and changed it over to an empty channel. Now my Hi10 Pro connects easily anywhere in the house. That said, I'm surprised to buy a device in 2017 which can only connect in the 2.4GHz band, not 5GHz.

There are so many negative reviews for Chinese tablets that I wasn't expecting much but honestly this thing is brilliant. I use
Ordered this after my laptop broke. There are so many negative reviews for Chinese tablets that I wasn't expecting much but honestly this thing is brilliant. I use it for internet browsing, emails and playing HD videos streamed from my NAS. I was worried that it would be slow from the various reviews criticising the Z8300 processor and low PCMark / Geekbench scores but it feels very responsive and Windows 10 and Android seem to run well. I have no problems with video playback and the screen looks great, a lot of reviews mention the small gap between the front of the glass and the screen but I don't notice it at all.I'm a fan of having windows and android on the same device, there are a several apps on my android phone which are much easier to use on a bigger screen and don't have decent Windows equivalents.I would definitely recommend buying the keyboard which turns it into an ultra-portable netbook. Yes it's heavy and the touchpad sometimes seems to have a mind of its own and it drains the battery if you leave it connected but for 30 quid it's incredibly useful and feels well made. The wifi is weak and slow but a usb adapter plugged into one of the dock ports gets around that when I'm not near a router.I don't even miss my XPS13 now, this does everything I need with the added advantages of being a convertible tablet, running dual operating systems and no irritating fan noise! Incredible when you consider how little you get for under 200 pounds from the major brands.
