Colourful with interesting tips. However the font is not well chosen. It results in some words written with the wrong strokes. E.g. 写 : this is written in the book with 横 going right through (see pic) which is misleading

I love this book. I've been trying to learn Chinese for a long time and now I can finally learn on my own.

This book is great for teaching kids a few basic Chinese characters. My 6 year old completed the whole book in a few days. He remembers how to construct some of the characters and will write out characters to make some very simple sentences. It was just something fun and interesting he could do to occupy him. I wouldn’t expect for your child to actually learn to read or write Chinese from it though. There was some damage to the book when we received it, but nothing that really affect our ability to use it.

The characters are big to write on, there is many to learn about but I wish there was something (eg: pictures) more appealing to younger learners.
