installed these on my trailer as the original chains were too small and weak if something went wrong when loaded. Weld on brackets made it easy. Chains seem good quality.

I have no doubt in my mind that these would hold my fully loaded trailer attached if it was to come uncoupled. In fact, I had to cut these to length and had a very hard time doing that since these appear to have been heat treated.

Dang things are heavy duty

I ordered this set for our one trailer that only has chains that are wrapped around so not exactly legal. I will start by saying that the chain and hooks are pretty well made and look to be very strong. I will say that I thought that when I ordered them, the other end was designed to be connected differently than by welding it to the trailer so that is sort of a letdown. It's not a big deal because I will just take that end off and mount it using bolts because I prefer them to welds for this application. The chains are long enough to reach from the trailer to the vehicle and still give you enough play in order to turn without them binding. I also noticed right out of the box that the safety spring on the one hook was bent which I found unusual being that it came from the store that way. Overall, I would say that if you are in need of a set of chains for your trailer, these should work just fine for you.

Seems like a good strong safety chain in the 5/16" size at grade 80. Good for smaller trailers and stuff, but still hard to believe this 5/16 chain would be as strong as most 3/8 chains. I don't like the description and boxes showing two different weight ratings of 4900 and then 5300lbs. I know there's always a good safety factor and it will still be more than strong enough for our uses.
