Proper wood, thin enough to not stick out too much from the wall but not flimsy. I bought three and not all of the text was as dark as anticipated, but they are still beautiful pieces of work. Classic twine hanging.

Not as sturdy as was described
I bought for nieces bedroom door to stop younger brother entering her bedroom She is an ardent Harry Potter fan and lived the sign product I thought was a bit flimsy
