NEX HT-KF20 Electric Garlic Fermenter, Stainless Steel, Gold

Exceptionally good garlic fermenter, have loaded the first batch and so far the fermenter is working satisfactorily as described. Just waiting for the outcome. Overall I am very satisfied and my relatives and friends are waiting to see the fermented garlic before the buy they own. Product received as described and easy to operate.

OK, after 12 days I finally completed my first batch! Everything worked out as it stated. No hassle whatsoever. The end product tastes a little like cooked plums. The only issue (which I had no problem with) was the smell of cooking garlic that permeates the whole house.I would fully recommend.

Machine does the job, but the smell is almost unbearable for at least 2 weeks. One day I left the house and left my closet open and all my clothes came out w/ strong garlic smell.Fortunately, one batch of black garlic done by this machine would last me for months. So I only use it once every a couple of months.Last time I used it it turned off mid-cycle.... so durability does not seem to be great. I unplugged and re-plugged it and it worked just fine for another couple of days. Then again it went off.... so be aware of this as your garlic can turn into poison if machine turns off and garlic develops bacteria mid process without you noticing.

So I started with 9 big bulbs and 7 smaller organic bulbs, then proceeded with the process with the Nex unit. Wasn't long however, before I realised they were going to stink the house out. So I switched off and carried the unit over to our little sunhouse. I was delighted to note that it had retained its memory and simply continued to count the 280 out of 288 hours that were officially left before I had turned it off to transport it to the sunhouse.After the 12 days had gone by I switched the unit off and came bact to it around 4 hours later. I removed the blackened bulbs and left them on a rack for about 2 days.I've just tried some and I'm not at all disappointed. The garlic is soft and black and paste-like and sweet, not at all bitter. From what I've read, I'm pretty sure that they've turned out exactly how they're supposed to be.Takes a while to peel but you definitely get quicker at it with practice...All in all, very pleased...!

I purchased a NEX black garlic fermenter. Ordered on 26 August 2018 through Amazon. The machine was delivered to my Mothers address in the UK, since I live in Portugal. Due to this it was only collected by me on the 25th of July 2019. It was unopened until my return to Portugal. Excitedly I followed the instructions and set up the machine for first time usage.The smell was wonderful. It was working for 36 hours and then suddenly stopped. I checked the fuse, was OK, tried a different lead that was working and still the machine is totally unresponsive, no sign of life at all. Nothing in the instruction manual model SF-G100 gives any advise. This is so disappointing and frustrating. I have sent an email and sincerely hope that it will be acted upon.
