This is a game that ticks all of the boxes! It is easy to learn, very strategic, aesthetically beautiful and keeps you coming back for just one more game. The art work and ‘feel’ of the cards ooze quality and the game grows as you play it more. In my opinion, it plays better with a higher player count but works just fine with two. Add the expansion for even more replayability and you have a game that will be broken out for years to come! Very impressed and highly recommend for anyone that enjoys a thoughtful deck builder.

Played this with friends just after Spiel - instantly knew I had to buy it. Fun and quick game to pickup and explain the rules. Nice feel to the cards and the artwork is pleasant. Bought this plus the expansion as they're very reasonably priced too.

I got this game as a stocking filler and I’m really glad I did! It’s a great little game, easy to play and I like that it’s not too big so doesn’t take up space in my house. It’s not too difficult, it’s nice and small so is perfect for taking away on holidays, and it’s just plain cute. I think it’s well made and good value for money.

I bought this as a present after playing it myself, lovely art work and it super travel friendly. The rules are easy to understand and you can play it with just two people. Saved us when we've been stranded in the airport!

Sea salt and Paper is a great little card game and this expansion adds a few more things to the mix. The added cards do not change the game dramatically but adds enough to being some more things to think about.

We have this in our campervan and we really enjoyed playing it. It took a couple of goes to get used to it. I’m trying to remember all the cards do is a bit of a challenge.

Initially it seems complicated to go through the rules and we played a few games where we didn't quite get the end scoring right, but after that the game is really good. You have certain cards you play in twos to perform certain actions like take another turn or steal a card, and other cards that you collect for points. The STOP or LAST CHANCE rules to end a round really adds a level of intrigue as to whether to play safe or take a risk to try and earn some extra points. Great little game that works particularly well as 2 player. Also tried as 3 player was really good too. 4 Player in addition was surpisingly good last weekend. Made it more of a variety for who got stolen from when the Swimmer and Shark combo was used. There is also an expansion, with a few additional cards called Extra Salt. For me, I'm happy with the base game, but it would add a little variety. Having said that adding the new cards after extended use, would make the new cards obvious, so it you do decided to go for it then it may be good to go for with a new base game as well (gift the old set to friends). NB you may read about Card quality issues, this is with the Pandasaurus produced version, not Bombyx.

A neat little game you can bring anywhere with you, an easy teach that plays well up to 4 players!
