A great aid for my scrabbling

A very comprehensive word list, with definitions, but many are not really true English words as deemed correct according to the rules of the game. It renders the playing of it rather confusing.

Easy to use

My wife and I started up playing Scrabble again during recent 'Lockdown' time. We needed something to enable us to 1. check for correct spelling, and 2. ensure words we thought to use were in fact words at all, and to ensure they were accurate ( not slang). We have found that this volume is 'spot on' in giving us what we needed to play well and move the game along. Each of you will have specific requirements from this type of volume, but I can recommend this as a good 'all rounder' !! Please don't forget to check my spelling when reading this review!!!!!

It's a thick board and good enough. It's big enough and clear. Enjoying my games during the weekends.

Always nice to know not just that it is the officially accepted words to avoid arguments but also to have the meaning. Only disappointment is that it is limited to a maximum of 8 letter words. So, if you want to build on a two plus letter word that's already on the board and use all your 7 letters then you may not find a legitimate word in the dictionary. So, it might be better to use a phone app.

At home, we love playing scrabble.Adults only... With the kids as part of our family games sessions on the weekends.Until now I had always used the Official Scrabble Dictionary online.It's in fact book-marked on my phone ;)But when I saw this one available on paper... I had to buy it.Specially at such low price.I am not sure what I was expecting, but it has arrived today and I have been well surprised.I thought it was going to be a thin book type of dictionary, but it's not.It's lovely and chunky and we are loving it!It helps everyone in the family, especially with the tricky 2 letter words.The only problem I see is that I am going to have to buy more (as we are a large family)PROSAlphabetically book marked pagesStraight to the point direct meaningsFantastic size for its cost (I have taken a picture by my pen to try and show you)CONSPacks of 2 or 4 please....P.S I thought it would also be helpful to know that now there's also an official app for your phones.I'm not sure on Android, but on iPhone it does have a cost (on pictures attached)
