The first 10 minutes or so after you put the temporary filling on your tooth, you'll wonder why in the world you thought this might work. Then a few hours later you'll be so happy you tried it.My husband just recently had a filling that fell out and I happen to have some if this DenTek stuff on hand to try. I had ordered him a bunch of tooth pain killer products last summer to help ease the discomfort he was having with a bad tooth. I bought everything I could find that had great reviews, this being one of the items. But after getting it I realized it was a temporary filling kit and my husband didn't want to try it. Instead he used all the other pain reliever type products I had order along with this kit. A short time later he had that tooth pulled.So now here we are a year later and my husband has pain in another tooth. This time because of yet another filling that came out, leaving a huge gap in his tooth and then causing pain. I pulled this DenTek kit out to try, but he wouldn't hear anything about using it. Just the idea of it bothered him and he was worried about putting anything in the hole in his tooth.After pointing out to him he was being a chicken, I decided to try it out. I happen to have a cavity in the very back of one of my molars that has turned into a gaping hole from the way it feels. It does't hurt...yet. But I figured I'd try this kit out and see what happens when you apply the material to a hole in the tooth.Applying it is tricky, especially if you're putting this in one of your very back teeth. It feels like trying to shove clay in your tooth. It's messy and you'll wonder if you got any of it in the tooth or if it all just stuck to your cheek or gums. Then the first hour or so after applying it, it fells soft. Two hours later it feels chalky. It wasn't until several hour after applying it that it seems to expanded a bit and also hardens like a rock. It totally filled the hole in the tooth and has hardened.I applied this 4 days ago and it's still there. I'm also a gum chewer, so you'd think if anything was going to pull the DenTek out it would be the gum I chew every day, but it's still in there.After seeing me use it my husband realized it wasn't going to be the end of the world if he tried it, so he applied it too. The hole where the missing filling is in his tooth is very large, about 25% of a whole back tooth. This DenTek filled that hole and has held strong just as long as it has in my tooth. This stuff is awesome!

I was recently hospitalized when I had a small bowel perforation, and because of this I became severely malnourished. My calcium level dropped to critical levels for nearly 2 months. About 2 months after this, my teeth have started to crumble. I have never had many tooth issues, only having maybe 3 cavities in 36 years.1st, about the clove oil. Holy wow, yes, it will numb the heck out of your tooth. It will also burn the crap out of your skin. I did as the package directions stated, and dipped a very small piece of cotton ball in the oil and placed it on the affected tooth. But getting it where it needed to be proved difficult, so the little piece of cotton did touch the inside of my mouth and this lead to my mouth watering uncontrollably. The saliva then spread the clove oil to the outside of my mouth and it burned like fire! I washed my mouth immediately and this helped the burning. Next time, I will dip a cotton swab into the oil and hold it to the affected tooth for 1 minute instead of trying to use a tiny peace of cotton that was hard to hold on to. So please be very careful with this product.2nd, the temporary filling aka Temperin Max. I can't speak to how long it lasts, because I just received this item. But I placed it the hole left in my molar from a huge chunk of tooth that fell out. I mainly just want something to keep food from getting stuck in it. So we will see how that goes. As far as ease of use, it was fairly easy to use. A bit messy, but there is plenty of material if you need to retry it.

The tooth saver is just silly.The temporary filling I have no luck with but it was recommended to me by someone who swears by it. I had trouble getting it to stay and it caused some pain attempting. Worth a shot.The pain stuff I haven't tried from this particular kit but have had tremendous amount of relief from in its own set. A bit bummed that it didn't come with an applicator like the pain relief kit alone I have.Would say worth a shot if you are having issues but for myself I will just get the pain kit from now on

I had two crowns fall off when traveling internationally. The cement worked great on one of the crowns; not so good on the other. I ended up swallowing the second crown. Admittedly, it was not a full crown, so there was less surface area for the cement to do its thing. My assessment is that this product works best for lower crowns where you can have gravity help you fit it on right.

Amazon did a great job having this shipped proper to my apartment, the problem however is the actual product itself. At first inspection I realized that the tool needed to actually apply the filling onto your tooth was not even in the SEALED box. On opening the actual contents of what I received, one of the caps is actually empty, making this basically the 3.84 dollar produt also sold on amazon for a ridiculous markup for price.On reading other reviews, it seems that many people have also been paying for more to only receive a lesser quantity than what they asked to receive.. Stay Away from this product.

I bought this a couple of months ago just to add to my emergency / evacuation / Doomsday kit. There isn't anything that will incapacitate you quite as much or quite like a severe toothache.Lo and behold, about 2 months after purchasing it I ended up needing to use it because of severe toothaches. Luckily I had also purchased some tooth pain medication that I was able to lean on heavily, and found out that the cause of the toothaches was grinding my teeth at night, but knowing that I had this available to me especially when most of the stores in my area were closed in the middle of the night, was a huge relief.Even if you have really good teeth and you don't have cavities and so on and so forth, get this just in case.

Had a cracked tooth but a 5 week delay to the see a dentist. This kit was a great temporary solution until then. The instructions were easy to follow and it reduced the pain. I had to redo the repair a number of times but small price to pay.
